Gaming, like most parts of the entertainment industry, is beginning to see more of its own “power couples” gaining mainstream attention for their success in the space.Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevinsand his wife/manager, Jessica Blevins, have been at the forefront of streaming for the last five years, though it hasn’t been without its ups-and-downs as their recent drama with Pokimane shows. However, Ninja will soon find himself with a new manager as his wife will soon be stepping down from the role to focus on building her own brand to stand alongside her husband’s.
Jessica Blevinsannounced she was stepping down as Ninja’s manager in a new interview with Sportify It, saying she would be handing over the management reigns in the near future. She explained this was a point the couple always knew would happen as Ninja’s public image grew while more opportunities to grow her brand came along. Blevins did not say who would be taking over as Ninja’s manager, but said she had the utmost faith in them and was excited at what was on the horizon for herself.

“I’m really excited,” Blevins told Sportify It. “Over the last year I’ve been growing my brand similar to what I did with Tyler. I have a PR team. I signed with CAA. Before I was focusing on Tyler, so now I’m focusing on my brand simultaneously.”
She later clarified on Twitter the change was not immediate, and she would still be Ninja’s manager for the time being.

The announcement follows a rollercoaster two months for the couple who found themselves at the center of public drama in the wake ofJiDion’s hate raid on Pokimane.
Ninja found himself roped into the situation after JiDion’s viewers jumped into his stream to ask is he could help with JiDion’s then-impending Twitch ban. Ninja appears to text his Twitch manager, saying it was all he could do, before saying JiDion should not have hate raided Pokimane on his next stream. However, Pokimane argued Ninja appeared to downplay the seriousness of the hate raid, and subsequent harassment, given his apparent text and his willingness to play with JiDion on stream.
Pokimane’s criticism was not taken well by Blevins, who had a back-and-forth with Pokimane where she also appeared to downplay her husband’s part. The dialogue crescendoed whenBlevins threatened Pokimanewith legal action, saying she would be contacting their lawyers to look into a possible defamation suit. However, the couple has been relatively silent on the subject since then and no legal action has been taken.
Pokimane and JiDion’s upcoming collaboration, on the other hand, shows the two have seemingly buried the hatchet.
