The impressive upcomingJak and Daxter-inspired platformer calledClive ‘N’ Wrenchhas revealed a new Christmas level just in time for the holidays. 90s platformer fans are already adding the game to their wishlists, a phenomenon that may gain momentum as more levels like this Christmas one are revealed.
Numskull Games continues to update fans that are anticipatingClive ‘N’ Wrenchwith clips of what to expect from the 3D platformer, the latest of which highlights a new Christmas level. TheJak and Daxter-inspiredClive ‘N’ Wrenchis set to release on July 08, 2025, and the Christmas world joins an already revealed Halloween-themed zone, and a couple of others that have only been teased.Clive ‘N’ Wrenchisn’t the first3D platformer to feature a Winter-themed level, withBanjo and Kazooie,Super Mario 64,Spyro, and many others offering their own take on the same concept, but the latest release is taking it a step further by focusing on some Christmas themes.

A recently postedClive ‘N’ Wrenchtrailer shows the manyChristmas themesin the unveiled world, with bows, candy canes, presents, snowmen, stockings, and wreaths all on display. Similar to otherClive ‘N’ Wrenchmaps that have been highlighted, the titular heroes swap their headgear for Santa hats on this Christmas level, with Clive wearing a fittingly red one, and Wrench being adorned with a green one. This freshClive ‘N’ Wrenchlevel is covered in snow which continues to fall from the sky as Clive and Wrench jump over dinosaurs to reach higher platforms, attack some Dodo birds, pick up presents, and avoid falling into a deadly purple and pink goo between the solid ground and objects.
Some of the more harrowing moments of theClive ‘N’ WrenchChristmas world showcase include falling pieces of bone that come apart as Clive and Wrench step on them, with one of these scenes showing the heroes of the game racing with another character to avoid an incoming lava wave. A Santa-like wooly mammoth was also introduced in the latestClive ‘N’ Wrenchtrailer which shows the character holding a naughty list next to a sack full of presents that hint Clive and Wrench will have to collect presents for the tusked creature to complete the level. Unlike some digital-only titlessuch as the new versions ofMonster Hunter Rise,Clive ‘N’ Wrenchwill be getting a physical launch in February as well which will allow 3D platformer fans to stack it up next toRatchet and Clank,Jak and Daxter, andYooka-Layleein their libraries.
TheClive ‘N’ WrenchChristmas trailer has garnered only positivity thus far, with multiple fans expressing their enthusiasm foranother modern 3D platformer likeJak and Daxter. AClive ‘N’ Wrenchfan stated that the 3D platformer is one of their most anticipated games of 2023 as they praised developers at Numskull Games, while another praised the aesthetic of the levels revealed so far.
