Following the extension ofFortniteChapter 2 Season 2 into this Summer, players are now met with a series of Overtime Challenges. These Overtime Challenges are relatively simple tasks, but the player will need to grind to fully complete some of them. That said, they areworth quite a bit of experience, so they are worth the time they take.

For those that don’t know,Fortnitefollows a weekly challenge model, in which new challenges become available with each week. Due to the Coronavirus, Season 2 is extending beyond those normal challenges and adding these Overtime Challenges as compensation to ensure players have something to do and more ways to earn experience.

Each of the challenges has three tiers of completion, with the first tier granting 10,000 experience, the second tier awarding 25,000 experience, and the final tier granting a hefty 55,000 experience. Of course, completing any of these challengesfully will require quite a bit of dedication.

Below is the list of the first part of Overtime Challenges

For the most part, these challenges are pretty easy and relatively self-explanatory. Players will likely be able to achieve the first two tiers pretty quickly, but the final tier is a massive jump typically. For example, eliminating 10 henchmen at Pleasant Parkcould feasibly be done in a day, but doing 100 will take quite a bit of grinding.

It is probably best for players to simplycontinue to play the game as they normally wouldwhile keeping these challenges in mind. Also worth noting is the way the challenges will affect games, as players will concentrate near these areas more now.

Reception of the Overtime Challenges has been mixed, with some appreciative of the chance to get more experience while others are just frustrated that thenext season was delayed. Either way, these will take some time, so it is best if players don’t stress over completing them as fast as possible. After all, there’s still plenty of time left in the season.

Fortniteis available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
