Breaking the enemy’s Toughness is a core mechanic inHonkai: Star Railcombat. It delays the enemy’s turn, deals Break DMG, and applies Element-specific Break debuff. Other than that, enemies with weakness break also change the damage calculation; a normal enemy causes the calculation to be multiplied by 0.9, while those with weakness break bump this multiplier to 1. Additionally, the rule of thumb is thatHonkai: Star Railenemieswith an Element weakness have 0% RES to it and 20% RES to everything else. Therefore, attacking an enemy with a certain weakness is not only useful for Toughness break but also for greater damage.

Because of this, Silver Wolf’s ability to apply an Element weakness to an enemy can go a long way in increasing the team’s DPS. Due to how the Element she applies will match the Element in the party,Silver Wolf team compinHonkai: Star Railshould focus on one Element alongside her Quantum.
6Silver Wolf + Jing Yuan + Tingyun + Bailu
The first team is a Lightning-focused team. It has Silver Wolf as the debuffer andBailu as a healer inHonkai: Star Rail. Meanwhile, the other two units can be swapped accordingly. For instance, in this setup, Jing Yuan is the main DPS while Tingyun is the buffer. However, players can swap Tingyun or Jing Yuan for characters like Serval and Arlan to maintain a Lightning team.
If Tingyun stays, she can equip thePlanetary RendezvousLight Cone. It allows Harmony units to enhance Elemental DMG of their own Element by 12% (at S1).
5Silver Wolf + Welt + Yukong + Luocha
Luocha and Yukong alleviate Welt’s loneliness from being the only Imaginary character in version 1.0. Players who won Welt from their beginner banner can try and get Luocha and Yukong along with Silver Wolf to make a full Imaginary team.
Yukong is an excellent buffer, andWelt can perform just fine as the only DPS. Fortunately, Luocha is so good at healing that he doesn’t even need to fully stack ATK to do his job. Instead, players can invest in more offensive stats on Luocha and allow him to dish out decent damage on top of his top-tier healing. This fully completes the team as players will have two debuffers (Silver Wolf and Welt), two damage dealers (Welt and Luocha), and two supports (Yukong and Luocha) at the same time. Not to mention that both Silver Wolf and Yukong can also deal damage, so this setup lacks nothing.
4Silver Wolf + Sushang + Natasha + Clara
This Silver Wolfteam comp inHonkai: Star Railis easily one of the best as it contains everything players would need. There’s Sushang as the Hunt DPS, Natasha as the healer, and Clara doubles as both a taunt unit and damage dealer.

Players who don’t have Clara can also swap her for Physical Trailblazer; it will remove the taunt she offers, but Physical MC is still a great DPS and Natasha can work just fine as the sole protector.
3Silver Wolf + Yanqing + Herta + Gepard
Having a guaranteed Ice weakness is an amazing thing as players can enjoy Freezing tough enemies and taking their turns away with no risk. In this team,Yanqing will work as the main DPSwhile Gepard is the shielder.
For the last slot, players can choose Herta for more damage, Pela for double DEF reduction, or go for March 7th for more protection. Of course, those who don’t have Gepard can simply use March 7th, but if Yanqing is not available, then it’s best to not go for this team as Herta is limited in unbuffed content like the Forgotten Halls.
2Silver Wolf + Himeko + Hook + Fire Trailblazer
The next team is a Fire Silver Wolf team comp.Due to the lack ofHonkai: Star Railhealers, players sadly have to either settle with having a non-Fire, or properly manage their team and survive with only the protection of Fire Trailblazer. Since this team lacks protection and DPS, players should focus on weakness breaks and keeping the enemy down as much as possible.

Players can choose between Asta, Himeko, and Hook for their available two slots. The combination of Silver Wolf and Himeko is great as the Stellaron Hunter will give Himeko more chances to perform her Fire attack on the enemy’s Toughness, which in turn allows her to trigger her follow-up attack more often. Asta is also an excellent Toughness depleter, which would work wonders with Silver Wolf.
1Silver Wolf + Seele + Jing Yuan + Bailu
Since there’s no protector from the Quantum side and there are only 3 Quantum characters as of version 1.1, players sadly can’t go for a full Quantum team. Therefore,if people wish to play on their Seele, they have to settle with having another weakness-breaker and healer/shielder from another Element. For instance, players can go for a combination of Jing Yuan + Bailu, Sushang + Natasha, Yangqing + Gepard, Welt + Luocha, and so on.
Of course, players can also go for support of the same Element as the healer/shielder instead of a DPS/weakness-breaker, but it will waste Silver Wolf’s weakness implant as they likely won’t attack. For example, going for Tingyun + Bailu is a waste of the Lightning Weakness provided by Silver Wolf as they’re both poor at reducing the opponent’s Toughness. Meanwhile, going for Jing Yuan + Bailu isa better idea as Jing Yuan is greatat breaking the enemy’s Toughness.
