According to mi_estas_birdo’s Reddit post, they experienced this bug while playing on Xbox, adding that they weren’t sure if an internet issue was causing the bug. In the comment section, manyDisney Dreamlight Valleyfans found the bug funny, while also sympathizing with the player because they could see the inconvenience it was causing them. Meanwhile, a number of players also shared that they experienced the same bug on PlayStation, Switch, and Mac, and had alreadyreported the bug to Gameloft.
