When players need a short break from the action, they can spend time in Genius Invokation, a permanentGenshin Impactmode that features some gameplay elements like elemental reactions, PvP matches, skills, and bursts. It’s a trading card game where players build custom decks and beat friends at the table.
Genshin Impact’s Genius Invokationmode has been a fan-favorite since its introduction in version 3.3. It has received many plaudits from players thanks to its mechanics that resonate withGenshin Impact’s core gameplay. Tens of obtainable cards based on playable units have been added to this addictive card game over time, providing players with new options to form their decks. In Genius Invokation, each character card has a normal attack, elemental skill, and burst similar to their playable version. These skills deal a certain amount of damage and trigger elemental reactions. Once players have destroyed all enemy cards at the table and won the game, they will receive Primogems, card boxes, and Lucky Coins.

Genshin Impactdeveloper has revealed three new cards being added to the Genius Invokation mode with version 4.1 update later this month. They are based on banner characters Dehya, Wanderer, and Yaoyao, each having their unique skill set. Dehya’s normal attack deals two damage while her elemental skill summons Fiery Sanctum Field. When this summon is at the table and the character is on standby, it decreases damage taken by one. Her elemental burst also doles out three Pyro damage. It looks like this Genius Invokation card perfectly aligns withDehya’s gameplay.
Wanderer’s character card resonates with his skill set, dealing seven Anemo damage with the elemental burst. He gains the Windfavored status after using his elemental skill. The third obtainable card is based onGenshin Impact’s Yaoyao, whose elemental burst doles out one Dendro damage and creates the ‘‘Adeptal Legacy’’ combat status. Her normal attack does two physical damage and costs only one die.
Aside from a collection of Genius Invokation cards,Genshin Impactversion 4.1will bring two new playable units Neuvillette and Wriothesley. As per some leaks, both characters will have a five-star rarity and powerful skill set. If everything goes according to the schedule, the version 4.1 update will be released on October 27.
Genshin Impactis currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
