A newGenshin Impactleak apparently reveals more information about one of the upcoming characters, the long-awaited Dendro user Alhaitham. Even though the two new Anemo characters, Wanderer and Faruzan, just arrived with this update, it seems like leakers have already started giving away more detail about a new set of characters.
EveryGenshin Impactupdate has its own beta phase which usually starts a month before the update officially joins the live servers, and it contains most of the upcoming content including new characters, weapons, and events. While the 3.4 beta is yet to start, credible leakers have given more information about the upcoming updates.

Two credibleGenshin Impactleakers known as neavis and hxg_diluc have given more information about Alhaitham, a new Dendro character who is expected to arrive in the upcoming update 3.4. According to their Tweet, Alhaitham’s play style appears to be similar to the Cryo user Ayaka and the Electro character Keqing. Ayaka is one of the best DPS characters inGenshin Impact, and relies on dealing elemental damage inmostGenshin Impactteam comps. Even though Keqing is an Electro user, she can also be used as a main DPS that focuses on Physical Damage.
Players expect Alhaitham to be a very swift character which could be one of the reasons why the leaker compared him to Keqing. Both of Keqing’s skills allow her to move quickly through the battlefield dealing tons of Electro damage in the process, even disappearing for a moment during one of her Normal Attack animations. Alhaitham is rumored to be the second five-star DendroDPS character inGenshin Impactafter Tighnari who arrived in update 3.0.
Even thoughAlhaitham is scheduled for update 3.4, there is no information about his exact release date. Some fans hope that he appears on the second banner of the upcoming update, so they can gather the right amount of Primogems for his release. Both 3.2 and 3.3 introduced two very popular roster additions, Nahida and Wanderer, both of whom are considered must-have characters by a big part of the community due to their importance to the storyline and overall power on the battlefield.
Alhaitham won’t be the only new character in the next update as previous leaks revealed that he will be joined byanother Dendro user named Yaoyao. Unlike Alhaihtam, Yaoyao is expected to have a lower four-star rarity, and she is expected to be a part of the upcoming Lantern Rite Event.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
