AGenshin Impactfan has created a map that shows all of the explorable regions including the upcoming Fontaine nation. The game’s main continent is named Teyvat and it includes seven different major regions. So far HoYoverse has introduced only four of them with Sumeru being the most recent addition.
Genshin Impactfollows a pattern of adding one major region per year and Fontaine is confirmed to be the next nation that Travelers can visit. Over the last couple of months, a lot of credible leakers have revealed a lot of information about this region including its release date, location, and playable characters.

Fontaine will border with some of the game’s current regions which means that players can see the placeholder model for the Hydro nation when standing on certain viewpoints in Liyue and Sumeru. As Fontaine’s official release comes closer, the mostrecentGenshin Impactupdate 3.6has added a new placeholder model of this region which indicates the type of terrain that players can expect once version 4.0 drops. A Reddit user named Substantial_Fan_9582 has revealed a satellite map that features all of the four current regions including the placeholder model. Going by these images, Travelers can expect Fontaine to become one of the largest regions in Genshin Impact.
Fontaine is confirmed to have Hydro as its symbolic element which means that it will probably be filled with large lakes and rivers. A lot of comments claim that they were not expecting the model to have so many hills or mountains. Some Travelers have pointed out that this could mean that Fontaine will have a lot of waterfalls which has been rumored in one of the previous leaks about the nation’s main city. According to an old beta leak, the main city ofFontaine will be attached to a vertical platformand surrounded by waterfalls.
When it comes to the playable roster,Genshin Impactleaks have also revealed 10 new charactersthat will apparently join the roster during the Fontaine story arc. One of them will be the Hydro Archon Focalors who has been mentioned a couple of times in the main storyline. Other characters include Neuvillette, Lyney, and Lynette.
Neuvillete is the Chief Justice in Fontaine and which means that he will probably have a similar role as Jean, the Acting Grandmaster in Mondstadt. Thetwo siblings Lyney and Lynettewere both featured in one ofGenshin Impact’s earliest story teasers. According to rumors, Lyney will be a five-star Pyro user while Lynette is expected to have a lower four-star rarity.
