To unlock a secret door in the new Dragonspine location inGenshin Impact, the player must find three items called the Priest, Princess, and Scribe boxes. These three items are hidden around Dragonspine, so here is howGenshin Impactfans can get them.
With the Version 1.2 update toGenshin Impactcame a slew of new content. The new Dragonspine region is an icy tundra and likewise, much of the new gameplay elements are geared toward the cold weather and chilly mechanics. One of the newest features is the Sheer Cold stat, an effect that can cause damage to the player if they don’t find warmth quickly enough. Another new element is the Frostbearing Tree, which operates similarly tothe Statues of the Seven. By offering up Crimson Agate, the Frostbearing Tree will give travelers rewards, one of which will help with the Sheer Cold effect.

Another new element introduced in the 1.2 update is a secret door that can only be unlocked byfinding three boxes: the Priest Box, Princess Box, and Scribe Box. Behind the door hides a Luxurious Chest with Artifacts, leveling materials, Mora,Primogems, anda Crimson Agate. Players will also get the Priest, Princess, and Scribe achievement by opening the chest. Another chest can also be found in this room, as well as a stone with etchings. These Ancient Carvings correlate with anotherGenshin Impactquest, meaning that the Priest, Princess, and Scribe Boxes need to be obtained first before locating each of the Ancient Carvings in Dragonspine.
Updated June 28, 2025, by Scott Vengel:The Priest, Princess, and Scribe Box quest remains one of the most uncompleted missions in all of Genshin Impact.Due to its obscure instructions, the vast distance between objectives, and overall difficulty, many in the community decided to skip the questline early in the Dragonspine region’s release back in version 1.2. However, now as players wait for the release of update 2.7, fans are now deciding to finally revisit the quest; this article has been updated to add more detail about how to collect each box.
The Princess Box Location
Genshin Impact’s Princess Box can be found on the northeast side of Dragonspine. Pastthe Frostbearing Treeis a lake with an island in the middle of it. Fly to this island and touch the sword toactivate a challengenecessary to obtaining the Princess Box inGenshin Impact. Defeat the Abyss Mages within 60 seconds to complete it, then a chest will appear and give the player the Princess Box.
This challenge can be particularly difficult. Players will have just60 secondsto defeat two Cryo Abyss Mages and one Hydro Abyss Mage. The Cryo Mages prove to be the most difficult, as between the water surrounding the island and the Hydro Abyss Mage, the player will likely be frozen multiple times before completing the challenge — this could mean having the repeat the fight multiple times before finally receiving the Princess Box.
The Priest Box
The second box, the Priest Box, is located off the path ofthe northwest side of Dragonspine. Follow steps off this path next to some small ruins to findAnemo fairies. Use them to create a wind current and ride it to the top of the ruined tower about 10 feet away. The chest on the top contains the Priest Box.
The Priest Box is the easiest of the three inGenshin Impactto collect, as it does not require players to fight opponents or have specific items. However, it does have the longest route to reach its location, meaning the players will need to be aware of Sheer Cold.
The Scribe Box
To find the Scribe Box inGenshin Impact,fast travel directly south to theTeleport Waypoint outside of Starglow Cavern. Nearby to the northwest is a Stone Monument. The player will need to place fresh flowers in front of it to unlock the chest containing the final box, the Scribe Box.

Specifically, players will need to place Cecilia Flowers at the monument. For most players entering Dragonspine, they should have a ready supply of the flower. For those without a supply, players can find an ample number of Cecilia on Starsnatch Cliff, or buy them from Flora in Mondstadt City.
The Secret Door Location
To find the secret door, start by fast traveling to theWaypoint directly above the world “Nail” in Skyfrost Nail. Head west up the ramp inside the cavern. After reaching the top at the mouth of the cave, fly back to the east inside to another ramp going upwards. The secret room is actually directly above the Teleport Waypoint in a different part of the cave. Find another cavern mouth located in this area and the door will be next tothe Fire Seelie Torch.
In addition to two large chests containing standard rewards, players will find another stone tablet in the Secret Room. This is one of several ancient carvings found around Dragonspine needed to unlock theSnow-Tombed Starsilverclaymore. For players looking to use this claymore with a physical DPS character likeEula, they will need to collect all three boxes first.
