Another player, SlitherySheep, is onSuper Mario Maker, and Omoroid is onXenoblade Chronicles X. The nearly 40 days that the group has managed to stay online has surpassed a record previously set byHalo 2fans who were able to stay connected to the servers for just over 25 days after the Xbox Live shut down.
Four Gamers Still Online Nearly 40 Days After Wii U Servers Shutdown
Previously, GaffsNotLaffs had tracked the number of players still online on Wii U and 3DS servers at 10 before that figure went down to the current four. Thisshutdown took effect in April of this year. Lcd101 plans on staying online inSplatoon. In a recent update, the player stated, “I am still online, but the lobby gives me the error code for maintenance, 106-0811. I intend to stay online in this state for as long as possible.” It is unclear how long he and the other three players will be able to stay online.
For fans of Nintendo’sonline services on the Wii U and 3DS, this is the end of an era. However, they can still enjoy the online functionality of Wii Utitles that were ported to the Nintendo Switch.
