Summary
An establishedFortniteleaker has revealed many of the changes coming in the game’s next season, including new bosses, items, mythic weapons, a POI, and more.Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 2 update is expected to launch on March 8.
Fortniterecently released its first teaserfor the major update, which seems to depict Zeus, the Greek god of lightning, throwing a thunderbolt-shaped constellation. This further suggests that next season’s theme will be Greek mythology after previous rumors claimed the same thing. Fans are probably curious how Epic Games will utilize the ancient religion, which is often referenced in popular culture. Fortunately, fans now have a pretty good idea.

EstablishedFortniteleaker iFireMonkey revealed a plethora of changes coming in the next season. Most notably, Chapter 5 Season 2 apparently introduces four new bosses in Zeus, Medusa, Ares, and Cerberus. The bosses also have mini-boss henchmen, which need to be defeated as well. Defeating these bosses gifts the player with various mythic weapons, such as Zeus’s Lightning Bolt, Ares' Burst Rifle, Cerberus' Tac Shotgun, and Hades' Fire Chain.Fortnite’s next update also introduces a couple of new items such as the Gold Apple, which gives a speed boost, and the Wing, which presumably allows the user to fly for a short period. The update adds at least one new POI as well, called Olympus.
New Features Supposedly Coming in Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 2 Update
TheFortniteleaker also explained thatGod of War’s Kratos and Atreus seem to be coming to the game soon afterpreviousFortniterumors claimeda similar possibility. Seeing that a Kratos skin was already added toFortnitein the past, this iteration is possibly a younger version of the popular warrior. However, iFireMonkey couched all these details by saying that they are not completely confirmed yet and are based on leaks that the popular leaker couldn’t verify personally, so fans should exercise caution until the update officially drops on March 8.
In anticipation of Chapter 5 Season 2,Fortnitelaunched its Pandora’s Box event, which concluded on March 3. Users worked together to free the massive box from its chains, which unleashed a massive, stationary tornado in the middle ofFortnite’s map. Currently, players can run into the tornado to be launched into the air, which is a pretty handy feature for those running from an enemy or the storm.
Recent leaks also claim that anotherJujutsu Kaisencrossover is coming toFortnitesoon. Fans might remember the popular anime’s first crossover withFortniteback in August, but this second collaboration, which is still unconfirmed, will presumably add brand-new skins and possibly more.
