Fortniteis open to crossing over with virtually any property, whether it comes from a TV show, film, book, comic, or cartoon. Anime is a specific area of interest thatFortniteseems excited to be exploring, with a recent wave of newNarutoskins being added.Narutoisn’t the only major anime franchise that is partnering withFortnite, though. Dataminers have discovered evidence thatDragon Ball Zcould be the next anime showing up in aFortnitecollaboration.
The collaboration is hinted at, but not entirely confirmed, due to the discovery of a curious new prop found withinFortnite’s files. The prop will be immediately recognizable toDragon Ball Zfans. It’s a capsule, a small pill-like container with a button on the top. In theDragon Ball Zuniverse, these capsules can contain virtually anything. The capsule also features the Capsule Corp logo, with one large “C” and a second smaller “C” within it. This asset is referred to as a “Stamina Capsule” and is categorized as a collaboration item withinFortnite.

In other words, aDragon Ball Z-related asset wasleaked fromFortnite. It’s not being used yet, but it wouldn’t be withinFortnite’s files if there wasn’t a planned use for it in the future. While there are no otherDragon Ball Zassets to be found, it wouldn’t be surprising if more and more were found in the next several weeks.
While aDragon Ball Zcrossover event and the potential release of several skins is certainly exciting, the leaked item is also interesting in its own way. A “Stamina Capsule” implies that it may be a new type of consumable. The name implies it could provide a boost to stamina over time, allowing players an extra burst of speed while running or to run for an extended amount of time. Manycollaborations inFortnitelead to unique gameplay additions, if only temporarily.DBZcould be one such collaboration.
The most difficult part of aFortniteandDragon Ball Zcollaboration may be deciding which skins get chosen.Goku and Vegetaseem like obvious choices, but who gets included after them? Gohan and Piccolo would be great choices, but so would Frieza, Cell, and Majin Buu, among others. Collaborations tend to be limited, butDBZfans will likely want more and more.
As for whenFortniteplayers should expect theDragon Ball Zcollaboration to launch, or at least for more information to be shared, leakers have predicted August. There’s no firm evidence of this, but it is when the newDragon Ball Zmoviewill be released in theaters in North America. Expect further leaks to help further confirm the crossover in the weeks to come.
