PlayStation gamers who decide to playSomervillewill dive into the story of the father of a regular family that finds himself in trouble during an unexpected worldwide alien invasion. The game can be considered somewhat of a spiritual successor toInside, as it’s a third-person experience that has physics-based puzzles and platform elements. WhileSomervilleis quite short, taking less than four hours to be completed by most players, it’s still worth a look. People wholiked indie gamessuch asLimbo,Another World, andEverybody’s Gone To The Rapturewill potentially enjoySomerville, as it offers a story-based, mysterious, alien experience like these titles.

This is neither the first time that it’s announced that an Xbox console exclusive will land on PlayStation, nor it will probably be the last. In fact, Xbox recently claimed thatThe Outer Worlds 2may be released for PlayStation consoles, despite being developed by the Microsoft-owned studio Obsidian. According to Microsoft, the first game in the franchise was a PS title, so it would make sense to release the sequel on the platform, as it has a community there. In any case, PlayStation gamers will still need to wait several months or even years before knowing if TheOuter Worlds 2will really be available for PS5 or not.

Somervilleis available for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. It will be released for PS4 and PS5 in August 31.
