The mount was launched at a discount, among a slew of other cosmetic items, butFinal Fantasy 14players that want to take advantage of it will have a limited time to do so.
On Friday, July 28, and Saturday, July 29,Final Fantasy 14’s 2023 Fan Festwill be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The main draw will be news of the nextFinal Fantasy 14expansion followingEndwalker, including potential teases concerning new Jobs and content. So far, very few hints about the expansion have been teased, which has led to speculation among players about what it could be. In past iterations of Fan Fest, Square Enix has released physical and digital goods for attendees to pick up at no added cost, so this year’s convention attendees may want to want and see if any of the items released this week will be available to them for free.

This year’sFinal Fantasy 14Fan Fest mount is the Garlond GL-IS, a motorcycle that has seating for two players, with one player as the driver and the other hitching a lift on the sidecar. Sitting in the seat of the sidecar is a replica of Alpha, the miniature Chocobo mascot ofCid’s Garlond Ironworks factory, and a character fromStormblood’s Omega raid series. The mount is currently on sale for a 10% discount, down to $33.30. The mount was also joined by the “Advent of Light” emote and new Cheer emotes with green, purple, and white glow stick options for players to choose from. The sale also includes items from last year’s edition of the Moonfire Faire summer event. The dates for this year’s Moonfire Faire have not been confirmed at the time of writing.
The newFinal Fantasy 14Online Store additions come just one week afterthe release of Patch 6.45. While it did not contain a main story update, the 6.45 update saw Blue Mage’s level cap increased to 80, along with the next chapter of the Hildibrand quest series, the Mount Rokkon dungeon, and updates to the Manderville weapons and the Splendorous tools for players to work on in their spare time.
While the Garlond GL-IS has no discernable hints as towhat new Jobs will appear inFinal Fantasy 14, the buzz surrounding the next expansion has begun to swell on social media. All in all,Final Fantasy 14players will have plenty to talk about soon.
