One of the best ways of gathering endless amounts of junk is to reset everything. By doing this, all previously looted items will respawn in the same locations. This guide will go through the steps required to reset everything.
How To Reset Everything
There are items scattered throughout the map. While there’s also a lot of loot to be gathered from containers, that loot is randomized.There are spawn points all over the map for specific items.If you log onto a server and pick up a tin can that’s sitting on a shelf and then load onto another server, the tin can won’t be there.
Once a player picks up an item from any given server, it is gone. However, after the player picks up at least 255 items, the first item they picked up will respawn.
While this may seem like a tedious and time-consuming task, it’s actually pretty straightforward. Just keep in mind, that taking items from containers doesn’t count towards resetting everything. You’ll need to pick up items that are lying around on tables, shelves, or on the ground.
After you’ve done this, switch to a different server. All world items you picked up before visiting Summersville should have respawned. Other great locations for picking up 255 items are The Whitespring Golf Club and the cafeteria inside Watoga High School.
It’s worth keeping in mind that if you load into the same server after picking up 255 items, then nothing will reset. If you accidentally end up back on the server you just left, just log out and try again.
The Benefits Of Resetting Everything
By being able to respawn items, you’ll be able to farm various junk items endlessly. However, it’s not just junk items that can be respawned.This method can be used to respawn various plants that can only be found in certain regions.Players often find themselves farming things like Blight and Brain Fungus to craft various buffs. By resetting everything, you’ll be able to farm as much flora as you like.
While this won’t work for blast zones, as they are tied to the server, items that grow or spawn anywhere on the map can be reset and farmed with no limit. To make this method even easier, if you haveaFallout 1stmembership, then you can hop between a public and private server to reset everything with no chance of loading into the same server twice.
