Fallout 4is a massive game from Bethesda that sees the Sole Survivor, the only person from their Vault to survive, emerging from Vault 111 in search of their son, Shaun, who was stolen from them during the time that the Vault Dwellers were in cryogenics.
Once the Sole Survivor starts their mission, they willrun into countless companionswho are willing to help them out. With some of those companions, the player can unlock special companion Perks. Here is a guide to those Perks and how to unlock them.
All Companion Perks
There are 15 companions in total (including DLC companions) that are able to have companion Perks. Here’s how each companion can be found and what their special Perk will do. These Perks are a major aspect of decidingwhich companions are the best.

Combat Medic: Heals 100HP when health is below 10%

Cloak & Dagger: Increases Stealth Boy duration and increases sneak attack damage
Attack Dog: Attacks on enemies immobilized by Dogmeat has increased accuracy in VATS

Isodoped: Gain 20% speed for Critical Hits when they have 250 Radiation Damage

Long Time Coming
Close to Metal: 50% faster terminal reset time and an additional guess when hacking

Hunter’s Wisdom: -25% Damage and Energy Resistance for animals and sea creatures

Blind Betrayal
Know Your Enemy: Deal +20% damage to Super Mutants, Feral Ghouls, and Synths
Gift of Gab: x2 EXP for Speech Checks and new locations
Lessons in Blood: +5% EXP and +10 Damage Resistance

United We Stand: Deal +20% damage and +20 Damage Resistance if there are 3+ enemies
Hire him for 250 caps
Killlshot: Headshot accuracy increased in VATS by 20%
Complete the quest Curtain Call
Berserk: +20 % damage with Melee weapons when health is below 25%
Complete the quest Mankind - Redefined (The Institute quest)
Shield Harmonics: +20 Energy Resistance
How To Unlock Companion Perks
In order to unlock these Perks, players will need to max out their affinities with their companions. Considering not all companions have Perks, it is recommended that players focus on increasing their affinity with those characters that do have Perks before focusing on others. Remember, even if the companion isn’t traveling with the player, they will still benefit from their Perk, meaning that unlocking them is important. Here is how to increase affinities:
