A Reddit user named Plaid_Kaleidoscope has shared a clip from their playthrough, featuring their attempt tobeat a Draconic Tree Sentinel inElden Ring. The video features the player standing on a surface far above the enemy, as they attempt to hit the Tree Sentinel with arrows without properly engaging with the opponent. The player manages to land a few hits while also missing a ton of shots, but the Draconic Tree Sentinel hits them with a lightning strike, knocking them off the platform to their death.

This fight takes place in a late-gameElden Ringarea called Crumbling Farum Azula, with the Draconic Tree Sentinel located right before the boss against Maliketh. Fans should note that Tree Sentinels do not respawn inElden Ring, so defeating them will allow gamers to easily explore the area. Alternatively, they can attempt to run past the Tree Sentinel to initiate the Maliketh fight, but there is always a chance of them gettingattacked from outside the boss arena inElden Ring.

Some users in the comments section make note of the number of missed shots in the video, with one stating that the lightning strike attack is the bane of allmages inElden Ring. Plaid_Kaleidoscope’s attacks were dealing a minuscule amount of damage, so this strategy would have anyway taken them a long time to complete. One gamer also wonders how the player managed to get this location in the first place, while another fan claims to have died similarly to this Draconic Tree Sentinel in two different spots.

Elden Ringis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
