How to Start Blackguard Big Boggart’s Quest in Elden Ring

Boggart’s quest actually begins when players meet Rya north of theLaskyar Ruins in Liurnia of the Lakes. She’ll ask players to retrieve her necklace from Boggart, who stole it. This can’t be done if Rya has already moved to the Volcano Manor.

To find Boggart, players should head northwest from Rya’s location until they find the Boilprawn Shack and the nearby Site of Grace. Although it’s possible to kill Boggart for the necklace, players who want to experience his quest should instead buy it back for 1,000 Runes.

At this point, Rya’s quest diverges from Boggart’s, and players pursuing the latter should buy some of the merchant’s Boiled Prawns. This will befriend him, and allow him to be summoned into theMagma Wyrm Makarfight in the Ruin-Strewn Precipice.

Buying the Prawns will also cause Boggart to move toLeyndell’s outer moat, where the next stage of his quest will take place.

How to Finish Blackguard Big Boggart’s Quest in Elden Ring

Boggart will have some information to share about the Dung Eater when players find him in his new location, which is to the west of the small lake south of theCapital Outskirts Minor Erdtree.

However, before they can complete the final stages of Boggart’s quest, they’ll first need to release the Dung Eater from prison and receive his message that he’ll be waiting to fight the player in Leyndell’s outer moat.

After that, players should head to the moat and exhaust Boggart’s dialogue until he shares his belief that the Dung Eater is lurking somewhere nearby.

After reloading the area, players will be able to interact with the now mortally-wounded Boggart to trigger Dung Eater’s invasion.

Defeating the Dung Eaterwill finish Boggart’s quest, and spawn a Seedbed Curse on Boggart’s body along with his other loot. It’s important to note that players won’t be able to get the Seedbed Curse if they’re invaded by the Dung Eater before Boggart moves to the moat, or if they kill Boggart at any point in the quest.
