Easter eggs can come in the formof something out of placein the world while others might take some pop culture knowledge to catch.

Unlike some Easter eggs,Red Dead Onlinehas some unique ones that only appear in multiplayer. Some Easter eggs require playersto have a roleas well. With how big the world ofRed Deadis, missing a few references here and there should be expected.
Updated January 23rd, 2022 by Russ Boswell: Red Dead Online still sees a healthy amount of players logging in to get their fix of the Old West way of life. Thanks to an expansive map that developers poured their heart and soul into, players have so much to see and explore in the lands of West Elizabeth, New Austin, and the surrounding areas. There are missions to undertake, NPCs to interact with, and most importantly, Easter Eggs to uncover. To better showcase some of the many hiddenRed Dead Online Easter Eggs, the following list has been updated with additional entries.
13The Secret Of The Hide-Covered House
There are a lot of dastardly people found throughout the Red Dead Online environment. Outlaws, killers, cheaters, and just plain evil folk make their home throughout the lands of New Austin and West Elizabeth. Because of this, players could be interacting with some less-than-friendly NPCs and never realize they’re standing face-to-face with someone sinister. Not everyone is as innocent as they seem in Red Dead Online, and the secret of the Hide-covered House is proof.
If players make their way to a small town located just below the “r” of New Hanover on the map, they’ll be able to find a tall two-story home that’s covered with an array of animal hides. This house looks pretty strange on its own but the unsettling Easter Egg can be found around the back of the house near an attached “shed.” If players crouch down, they’ll be able to spot a pile of human skulls sitting inside the shed-like structure. It seems the people here harvest more than just animals.
12A Cellar Full Of Horrors
The patrons of Butcher Creek may be quiet about their hidden skulls but there is one particular location in Red Dead Online that features absolute horrors displayed for all the world to see. Those that wish to uncover the gruesome secret can head to the small rectangle on the map south of the “L” in Valentine on the map. It’s advised to be careful in this area as there are an array of traps littering the ground, covered by thick foliage.
In this location is a seemingly abandoned shack with a cellar. It’s down in this seemingly inconspicuous basement that things take a horrifying turn. Once inside, players will discover what looks like a Serial Killer’s base, complete with an array of gruesome scenes and missing person’s posters.
11A Tiny Church In The Swamp
When traveling through Bayou Nwa, players most likely will not ride off the road. Alligators will be foundhiding out in the grassand in the swamp waters. This is enough to make anybody avoid the swamps. However, brave players can find something unexpected.
Right outside of St. Denis, players can find a miniature church. It is a little ways off the road, close to where Lakay is. Players can venture into the church by crouching through the front door. Aside from being an interesting location, the church also makes a good backdrop for posse photos.
10Can Find Red Harlow’s House
Between the locations of Armadillo and Riley’s Charge in New Austin, players can find an abandoned farm called Two Crows. It might not seem like anything special, but it will look familiar to anyone who playedRed Dead Revolver.Two Crows takes on a look similar to Red Harlow’s original home.
In the beginning ofRed Dead Revolver, the house is burned down and Red’s parents are killed. There is even a grave near the main house. The story ofRevolveris regarded as a legend in theRedemptionworld, but maybe this area is what started the legend.
9Bounty Hunter’s Name Is Western Movie Reference
When players first get introduced to the bounty hunting role, a woman will ride to the sheriff’s office with a wagon. She will reveal she is a bounty hunter and ask the player if they wantto join the profession. She will then give the rundown of how the role works and what the player needs to do.

Players might notice that they never get to know her real name. Instead, she is only referred to as The Woman With No Name in the credits. This is also the name of Clint Eastwood’s character in theDollars Trilogy,with Eastwood’s character being called The Man With No Name.
8Grave References Clint Eastwood Role
Much like the last reference, this one alsorefers to Clint Eastwood’s character. If players travel to Coot’s Chapel near Armadillo, they can find a grave of a mystery man. Located to the right of the church, there is a grave that only says ‘Cowboy.’
Underneath the name is also the title ‘Cowboy of no name.’ The mysterious cowboy also died in 1897, one year beforeRed Dead Online.Perhaps the Man With No Name made his way to Armadillo.
7Protagonists' Outfits Available To Player
Players who liked Arthur’s outfit are able to get it inRed Dead Online.By reaching tier 100 in the second Outlaw Pass, a variation of Arthur’s outfit would be unlocked. Instead of its normal name, the outfit would be called The Haraway.
John’s outfit fromRed Dead 2’sepilogue can also be unlocked as an outfit. It features a beta look for the outfit, allowing players to let their inner John Marston out. The outfit can also be unlocked through the second Outlaw Pass, this time under the name The Clelland.
6A Serial Killer’s Revolver
Players are able to obtain the revolver of the serial killer Edmund Lowry. The revolver looks like it is covered in blood and has ‘YOU’RE NEXT’ written on the barrel. To unlock this revolver, the player will need to solve a mystery inGrand Theft Auto Online.

Solving the mystery inGTA Onlineand killing 50 NPCs will unlock the weapon forRed Dead Online.Players can also buy a normal Navy Revolver, but this version offers something unique. Plus, who wouldn’t want to role-play a psychopath?
5Madam Nazar Makes Predictions
When players join the collector’s role, they will be introduced to Madam Nazar. When near her caravan, she will make references to events ofRed Dead II. These are predictions, asRed Dead Onlineis set in 1898 andRed Dead IIis set in 1899. She can make references to events of the story or references to areas in the game.
Madam Nazar even makes a referenceto the Van Der Linde gangcoming into the region. She also makes a reference to the bridge John Marston and Arthur Morgan blow up near the end of the game. She even mentions speaking to the ghost in the swamps of Lemoyne.
4The Shack With A Pentagram
Some of the best Easter Eggs in Red Dead Online can only be experienced or seen during certain hours in-game. A prime example of this is a seemingly normal shack that’s located in Butcher’s Creek. The building in question is located within the middle of the “r” of New Hanover and there’s nothing particularly strange about it during the day.
Early in the morning, however, it’s a different experience. If players hang out at the spot between 4 AM and 5 AM, they will notice strange red lights on the floor of the shack. By looking underneath, players will realize the area is a bit more sinister, as a ritualistic pentagram-like circle can be seen on the ground beneath the building.
