Summary
TheDragon Ballseries is one of the most legendary anime of all time, featuring a bevy of iconic moments, classic characters, and everything else along the same lines. After the end ofDragon Ball Z, fans desperately wanted a canon continuation of this series that would let its fightersreach new heights of power. This led tothe debut ofDragon Ball Super, which is considered by many to be a great entry in the illustrious series. The biggest changes brought about by this show were the introduction of both Gods of Destruction and multiple universes, which expanded the series' scope to a whole new level.
Destroyer Gods are omnipotent beings with vast reserves of power, allowing them to take out any foe with little to no problems. The fact that Beerus never even went all out during his clash against Goku when he was introduced shows just how massive the difference between the two is, and it’s clear that these Destroyer Gods are on an entirely different level of power than what fans have ever seen before in theDragon Ballseries. It’s amusing to see characters like Beerus find Goku’s transformations to be a threat to his power, given that he barely needs a modicum of his power to obliterate the Saiyans if he wishes.

Updated June 23, 2025 by Ritwik Mitra:There are many reasons why fans consider Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods to be the greatest Dragon Ball movie of all time. After a break of almost two decades, fans were treated to more canon Dragon Ball content with Akira Toriyama at the helm of things. Not only did this movie introduce a brand new transformation that served as a gateway for greater things, but it also served as the debut for two divine beings who would go on to play a dominant role in Dragon Ball Super.
Beerus' introduction as the Destroyer God coupled with the revelation of a multiverse meant that each universe has a God of Destruction who is ridiculously powerful and can destroy most worlds in no time.

12Iwan
Universe 1
Given the sheer number of new characters introducedduring the Tournament of Power, it was only a given that not everyone would be able to spend enough time in the spotlight. As a result of this, Iwan’s character suffers quite a bit. It doesn’t help that his appearance doesn’t convey a massive power level at all.
Audiences can assume that he’s the weakest God of Destruction based simply on how unimportant he is. There’s always a chance that he may display his strength in an upcoming arc, but the chances of this happening are slim to none. As things stand, Iwan is perhaps the weakest God of Destruction in the show, which isn’t something to be proud of given how these divine beings place such a major emphasis on strength over everything else.

11Arak
Universe 5
Aside from his hideous character design, there’s nothing all that remarkable about Arak. He just takes the role of another generic God of Destruction who doesn’t bring anything new to the table. His character design is the only notable thing about him, which isn’t saying much.
His sparring match might have been interesting, but this simple scene can’t convey whether Arak is all that strong. As a result, his power ranking takes a hit. Fans can only hope that later arcs ofDragon Ball Supermight shed some more light on this hideous character, but given the sheer number of new Gods introduced in the Tournament of Power arc, this seems unlikely.

10Liquiir
Universe 8
Most people would forget about Liquiir’s existence after the minor level of screen time he enjoys in the Tournament of Power. His generic design does him no favors and makes him one of the most boring Gods of Destruction on this list. He’s shown glimpses of his personality in this arc, but they’ve been nowhere near enough to quantify the power he wields.
There’s nothing notable that can be said about this forgettable character. Suffice it to say, Liquiir’s presence is not worth mentioning in the events ofDragon Ball Super. Given how the manga’s story has progressed since the end of this anime, it’s likely that this character will become nothing more than a footnote in this great series.

9Rumsshi
Universe 10
Rumsshi certainly has one of the more striking character designs on the show. He is an intimidating figure who will waste no time in accomplishing his duties as the God of Destruction. That’s why it’s a shame that Rumsshi doesn’t play a major role inDragon Ball Super.
Just like the other Destroyer Gods that are introduced, Rumsshi ends up fading into obscurity as events unfold. That being said, he is known for having the strongest lungs in the Universe. However, lungs themselves aren’t enough to defeat an enemy, and it seems that his brawn doesn’t match up with this rather odd power.

8Giin
Universe 12
There’s no denying that Giin has a ton of potential as astrong God of Destruction. Unfortunately, his lack of screen time means that Giin doesn’t manage to fulfill this potential. Given how benevolent Giin appeared to be, it would’ve been intriguing to see a Destroyer God who valued human life. Unfortunately, his role in the Tournament of Power was nowhere near as prominent.
While his confidence is impressive, one thing that fans noticed about Giin is that he’s way more confident in the anime than in the manga. It’s a small change, but a notable one regardless, that hints towards the fact that he could just be a tad bit weaker in the manga than his iteration on the show.

7Heles
Universe 2
Heles is one of the most unique Gods of Destruction. Her character design makes her seem like a godly Cleopatra, which was probably a conscious decision. She’s one of the few Gods of Destruction who cares about her subjects, which is a rarity for any divine being in this profession.
While her Universe does put up a good fight, it ultimately succumbs to the might of some of the more powerful Universes in the series. However, Heles doesn’t let her final moments be ones of grief and regret. She bids farewell with a smile on her face!

6Mule
Universe 3
Mule is a pretty crafty God of Destruction. He knows when to use both his brains and brawn, making him a fearsome foe. The Universe he looked over ended up getting knocked out a fair way into the Tournament of Power. While he’s initially disappointed, he still says goodbye with his head held high.
He does look rather goofy as he talks from within his robot, Mosco, but that’s just a facade that hides his true strength. He’s an extremely smart Destroyer God and can win a battle of wits against his brethren. Still, the fact that he pilots a robot can make him rather goofy, but that should take nothing away from his stature as one of the strongest Destroyer Gods in the series.

5Quitela
Universe 4
Quitela is one of the most annoying Gods of Destruction. He’s extremely crafty and doesn’t mind stooping as low as possible to get the job done. The pathetic manner in which he reacted moments before his Erasure was proof enough of just how unlikable he is. That being said, his manipulative personality perfectly complements his massive power level.
Not all Gods of Destruction need to be valiant, brave, or honorable. The job is only to destroy planets, not to be heroic. So, in a way, there’s nothing wrong with Quitela’s deception, even if it may not suit a deity of his impressive statue. If anything, a Destroyer God willing to use shady tactics in a fight may just get an edge over an opponent who is insistent about being honorable in battle.

4Sidra
Universe 9
Sidra is anotherstrong God of Destructionwho is highly intriguing. He seems to follow the rules and harbors great disdain fordisrespectful people like Goku. It was only to be expected that Sidra would tastefully endure his demise. This is precisely what he does, with the God of Destruction letting out nary a peep before being Erased by Zeno.
That being said, props should be given to this god for harboring amazing defensive powers. While most people agree that a good defense makes for a great offense, the same might not apply in the godly realm that Sidra operates in.
3Champa
Universe 6
Aside from Beerus, Champa enjoys the most screen time as astrong God of Destruction. It helps that he’s closely related to Beerus and hates his brother with a passion as well. He is an interesting God, clearly hiding massive power that can annihilate everyone with ease. While he might be the butt of many jokes in the series, that shouldn’t take away from his imposing personality.
Perhaps the only thing that takes away from this character is that he’s pretty much a beefier carbon copy of Beerus. This relegates him to more of a comedic role, which makes him seem less intimidating compared to the other Gods on this list. Still, when things get serious, Champa doesn’t shy away from showing the wealth of his powers. The fact that he can stand toe to toe with Beerus during any battle that stems from their disagreements is proof enough of this.
