Dr. Disrespecthas been the focus of a lot of attention of late. Almost immediately afterTwitch made steps to stop abuseon the streaming platform, the popular streamer disappeared. This has led to a lot of speculation from his huge fan base. Some are questioning whether the streamer is in legal trouble and others are wondering if its a publicity stunt connected to a move to a new platform. It now seems that Dr. Disrespect won’t be found on one specific platform despite several rumors.
The rumors surrounding the banning of Dr. Disrespect have been vast and largely speculative. In fact, other Twitch users have been harassed because of the disappearance of the streamer, despite not being connected to them in any way. Naturally, a lot of fans have been looking for a reason behind the enigmatic events and many have hoped thatDr. Disrespect would be found on YouTubebut a gaming industry insider seems to be refuting these claims.

In a stream, gaming insider Rod “Slasher” Breslau talked about the situation with streamer Hasan Piker. Breslau asserted that “No one is talking to Dr. Disrespect. YouTube is not talking to Dr. Disrespect, that discussion [on joining]… I can confirm that has not happened.” The gaming insider went on to deliver some crushing news for the fans of Dr. Disrespect as he claimed, “not a platform move” and suggested that the reason for the ban was “severe criminal elements.” It is unclear what these elements are, but depending on their severity, it may mean that fans never find out why Dr. Disrespect disappeared fromTwitch. With that said, some fans may not want to know as it sounds like the reasons behind the disappearance are very serious.
Breslau also discussed how YouTube felt about its acquisition of streamers. The gaming insider noted that YouTube “feels like it’s in a pretty good position [with who they’ve signed].” Given the fact thatYouTube has signed Ninja, the company will have likely invested a great deal in the streamer and will not want to take risks with their brand by signing a streamer who seems to be in a strange situation.
It is unclear what the future holds for Dr. Disrespect and fans may have to begin getting used to not seeing the streamer. With that said, Breslau may be wrong and there has been plenty of statements that have been proven false in recent weeks but the insider did speak with a degree of certainty. With the many statements and rumors surrounding the streamer fans will hope to at least find outwhy Dr. Disrespect was banned from Twitch, but even this may not come to light depending on the reason.
