Early footage ofValorantwas shared over the weekend as content creators were able to publish gameplay from an exclusive hands-on event with Riot Games. For most, it was the first chance to seeValorant’s tactical first-person shooter gameplay in its entirety. Such was the case with Twitch streamer Dr Disrespect, who didn’t attend the event. After Dr Disrespect said he watched some of TimTheTatman’s footage, he gave some first impressions, though they weren’t exuberant, to say the least.

In a short clip,Dr Disrespectasks his viewers what they think aboutValorant. As his chat adds their varied responses, Dr Disrespect leans back in his chair and feigns falling asleep. He doesn’t say anything explicitly about the game, but the implication is that he either doesn’t find it interesting or was bored by the gameplay. His chat, following his lead, spammed Dr Disrespect’s “doctorSNOOZEFEST” emote.

The clip from Dr Disrespect’s stream echo’s a sentiment he shared over a month ago. After seeing some of the firstValorantgameplayshared, Dr Disrespect said “What the hell am I looking at?” after being confused regarding one of theValorantAgent’s abilities. He’d then say, “I’m not mad at what I’m seeing, I’m just disappointed.” Since then, it’s been somewhat of a meme on his channel that Dr Disrespect doesn’t likeValorant.

This sentiment continued throughApril Fool’s Day, when Dr Disrespect revealed an “exclusive” channel-themed skin forValorant. The joke wasn’t just that he’d gotten such a cool partnership ahead of other streamers, but that the Dr andValorantdon’t make so much sense together.

To Dr Disrespect’s credit, he says that his SNOOZEFEST impression ofValorantwas just a joke. He’d say that it was justTimTheTatmangameplay footage that was boring. He then pantomimes Riot Game walking away from the table regarding their skin deal.

To be fair to Dr Disrespect, his actions so far have been very much in-character. He’s having fun with the question regarding whether he’ll be intoValorantor not and would likely do so regardless of whether he likes the game or not. Like most streamers, he’ll probably giveValorant’s closed betaa chance when he gets the opportunity. If the game does well for him and if he’s good at it, he’ll stick with it. If not, then he’ll keep joking about not liking the game. Fans will just have to tune into his Twitch stream to find out what’s what.
