Diablo 4players are reporting a Cross Network Play bug, affecting one of the social features available in the game.Diablo 4has received a lot of praise from players since its release, though it has not escaped criticism. Despite the positive reception, someDiablo 4players have been frustrated by encountering bugs and glitches.

The bugs and glitches in Blizzard’s new game are causing all sorts of situations, such as the player wholost their hardcore character inDiablo 4, bidding farewell to nearly 200 hours of gameplay. WhileDiablo 4bugs have been causing frustrating situations and affecting progress in the game, other players have seen unusual situations. OneDiablo 4player encountered a bug that left Werebear without arms. Another player saw the Butcher, one ofDiablo 4’s most infamous bosses, transformed into a pacifist because of a bug.

Reddit user megablue shared a video showing anotherDiablo 4bug, where even if the player disables the Cross Network Play option, the message still appears. Last year Blizzard announced thatDiablo 4would have crossplay, allowing players to get together with friends regardless of the region or platform they were playing on. The video shows megablue accessing the game options and disabling Cross Network Play inDiablo 4’s social options tab. The player closes the menu and enters the game queue, but whenDiablo 4finishes loading, the message “you have cross-network play enabled” appears on the screen.

In the comments of megablue’s post, other players said they saw the same bug. Redditor frosty_farralon said they opened a ticket to report the problem and were told that the devs are aware of players reporting this bug. Despite this, the devs have not identified it as a bug, and cannot track it as an identifiable problem. Unlike otherDiablo 4bugs that can affect players' progress, some evidence points out that the Cross-Network Play bug may only be visual. There are comments fromDiablo 4players saying that although the crossplay message keeps popping up, disabling the crossplay is indeed working.

Blizzard continues to work hard to optimizeDiablo 4by releasing frequent patches to balance classes, fix item issues, and address other situations. This is particularly important for the new game in the franchise sinceDiablo 4will follow the live-service model. With content arriving in a steady stream post-launch, issues are always possible. That’s why it’s important thatDiablo 4players report bugs and glitches through the proper channels, so the devs can make the necessary fixes.

Diablo 4is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
