Summary
Bungie reveals plans for how it is making farming the Prismatic exotic class armor inDestiny 2easier, with increased drop rates, better chest spawn rates, and a new weekly challenge. The Final Shape has been well received by theDestiny 2community, effectively finding a way to bring closure to the game’s lengthy 10-year storyline regarding the light and darkness. Even with the satisfying conclusion, players had no shortage of additional content to check out with the expansion, farming for new gear, resources, and weapons to make their Guardian even stronger.
One of the mostdivisive additions toDestiny 2was the exotic mission called Dual Destiny. The mission broke conventions by being a duo mission only, pushing players to communicate as they traverse both combat and puzzle situations, ultimately leading to the game’s first ever exotic classic item. The fanbase seemed to be divided as some absolutely loved how unique and interesting the mission was, while others were not thrilled that the unique prismatic exotic was locked behind a non-matchmaking activity for only 2 players. However, once the mission was completed, players could have a chance to farm the item from Pale Heart chests, though with so many unique possibilities, players have found it difficult to hunt for specific rolls.

Following the feedback from players over all of the possibleperk rolls forDestiny 2’s exotic class armor, Bungie announced a fewchanges coming in early Augustto make farming slightly easier. While Dual Destiny is still a requirement for unlocking Pale Heart farming, Bungie is making the item a little easier to loot by increasing drop changes from opening Overthrow chests, with higher tiered chests further adding to the odds as well as Lost Sector and co-op missions. In addition, Bungie is reducing random Pale Heart chests to encourage Overthrow participation, so players should seek out the daily Overthrow location to maximize their odds.
Destiny 2 Adds a New Weekly Challenge
Alongside chest drop rates being changed, Bungie also announced a weekly challenge being added to the Dual Destiny mission. Seemingly taking a page out of thepopularDestiny 2exotic duplication method, Bungie is giving players a chance to earn 2 exotic class items per week for the first completion of the mission, per character. While it may not be as rewarding as the duplication glitch, at the very least, players will be getting an easy way to score two class items at the same time per week, per character.
Until then, players continue to progress through Episode: Echoes, which is currently in its second act. While the timegated element of this first Episodic content has left many fans frustrated, the activities and rewards on offer have been generally well received including a new and popular rocketsidearm inDestiny 2called Aberrant Action. Lost Signal, a stasis infused area of denial grenade launcher has also proven to be a fan favorite option, taking inspiration from the exotic Witherhoard.
