Part of the fun ofDestiny 2is the community participating in the game as a whole together. Especially whenever a new Raid goes live, players from all over the world work together to unpack the secrets, gameplan how to take down enemies, and beat the insane challenge. TheDeep Stone CryptRaid has begun inDestiny 2, and one group may have already completed it.
While some players are just finding thefirst secret chest in the Deep Stone Crypt Raid, Team Luminous looks to have already completed the entire Raid. Yesterday the team worked on the Raid and live-streamed their accomplishment on Twitch, becoming the World’s First to beat the new Raid.

Upon hearing that someone may have completed the Raid, Bungie went to Twitter to comment, saying that it hopes to confirm the winners soon. Before anything else can be done, including confirming that the Raid was indeed beaten and who it actually was, Bungie needs to first verify that everything was on the up and up, and that no one else had yet beaten the Raid. The community manager of Bungie, and thereforeDestiny 2, followed up the tweet by noting that the plan is that Monday will be when the team officially congratulates the winners.
Traditionally, theDestiny 2Raids are very difficult, especially taking down the bosses. The Raid went live yesterday, and Team Luminous looks to have beaten it that same exact day, even within a few hours. There were Raids in the past that were controversial for being too difficult. It’s too new to comment on this one, but if Bungie confirms the completion of the Raid on Monday, it will be one of the quicker World Firsts.
The race to become theWorld’s First for aDestiny 2Raidis very interesting. Teams prepare for the race weeks and months in advance, even not knowing what exactly the Raid will entail. In the stream, and in their VOD afterward, it was clear that the team was a combination of anxious, excited, and even relieved.
Time will tell where the Deep Stone Crypt Raid ranks among thebestDestinyRaids. There can only be one World’s First, which looks to have been Team Luminous, but others can still gain rewards for beating the raid. The Lament Exotic sword is given to any player who completes the raid, and now that the blueprint is out there, many more players are sure to complete it.
