Summary

Before the release ofFinal Fantasy 14Patch 6.5, a Japanese player collected every achievement the critically acclaimed MMORPG had to offer. This achievement was discovered by otherFinal Fantasy 14players, who posted proof on social media and offered congratulations and concerns to their fellow Warrior of Light for completing all 2,751 achievements.

The player’s accomplishments were reported just days beforeFinal Fantasy 14released the Growing Light content update. With content such as the Abyssal Fracture trial, the Thaleia alliance raid, and further updates to the Island Sanctuary, the Patch 6.5 series will include even more achievements for players to tide players over until the release of theDawntrailexpansion in the summer of 2024. While it is not known how many more achievements will be added during the Patch 6.5 series, one Warrior of Light claimed every prior achievement available in the game.

On Reddit, a user named PrismaticParrot reported on the r/ffxiv subreddit that a JapaneseFinal Fantasy 14player from the Garuda server had earned all 2,751 achievements that the game had to offer as of Patch 6.48. The OP omitted the character’s name for privacy reasons but stated that earning every achievement inFinal Fantasy 14required doing every single activity in the game to date. This includes completing the main story, collecting every fish and relic weapon, defeating certain enemies thousands of times, emerging victorious in PVP, and completing every Savage and Ultimate Raid available, including The Omega Protocoland Pandaemonium raids. It is not known how long it took the player to get every achievement inFinal Fantasy 14, but the fact that the player in question completed the most difficult content in the game to date is an achievement in itself.

With achievements spanning all the way back to the game’s much-maligned 1.0 version, some of theachievements inFinal Fantasy 14are difficult if not impossible to getin the game’s current iteration. But considering the range in difficulty and time required, this made the Japanese player’s accomplishment all the more remarkable. In the comments, someFinal Fantasy 14players congratulated the achievement hunter for their feats, but some also expressed concern for their health.

It remains to be seen how many more achievements will beadded toFinal Fantasy 14onceDawntrailis released. Given the dedication of the game’s achievement hunters, only time will tell how long it will take for the aforementioned Japanese player to get them all.

Final Fantasy 14is available now for PC, PS4, and PS5, with an Xbox Series X/S version launching in Spring 2024.
