Summary

Behaviour Interactive is raising the prices ofDead by DaylightDLC on PC in an effort to promote cross-progression. For a long time,Dead by DaylightDLC has been cheaper on PC compared to console, but Behaviour plans to put an end to the inconsistency.

This decision comes after Update 8.1.0 introduced Lara Croft toDead by Daylightas part of theTomb RaiderDLC. Behaviour has also elected to share details aboutDead by Daylight’s upcoming 2v8 mode, which will pit two Killers against eight Survivors, and cross-progression, a new feature allowing players to sync their progress across all available platforms (excluding the Nintendo Switch) from July 22 onward. That same day, the DLC prices for the PC will rise as part of the influx of big changes.

For a few days, at least, PC players can still snatch upDead by Daylight’s DLC collectionat the regular prices. From July 22, the prices of selectDead by DaylightDLC is rising by $1 to match the other platforms. Behaviour justifies the change by calling it “necessary” for the smooth transition to cross-progression. As part of cross-progression, all currencies, levels, and DLC will be synced across console and PC devices. Certain DLC prices on PC platforms will be adjusted from $6.99 to $7.99 to match the existing console DLC prices.

ManyDead by Daylightplayers are displeased with the news, with some even suggesting that Behaviour could have universally lowered the prices across all platforms. “What does price have to do with cross-progression? I see it as an excuse to raise the DLC’s price,” one comment wrote. “Keep in mind it was equally possible to lower the prices universally,” another said. And this isn’t the first time Behaviour has been on the bad side of its player base. There are numerous occasions whereDead by Daylightfans have been left concerned by changes added to the game, such aslast year’s rocky PTB for Sadako Rising.

Behaviour has offered a few days of notice for PC players to grab the DLC at the regular price, soDead by Daylightfans are encouraged to do so. In other news, theDead By Daylightspin-off game,The Casting of Frank Stone, finallyhas a release date of June 07, 2025.
