Summer is the season for reveals in the world of gaming with plenty of major game presentations taking place during the summer months. June’s Summer Game Fest saw a month-long relay of presentations with different game developers like Nintendo, Xbox, and Sony revealing a variety of new games. Gamescom 2022 has kicked off in Cologne, Germany with showcases ofupcoming games likeGoat Simulator 3andHogwarts Legacy. Now, with Tokyo Games Show 2022 right around the corner, Capcom has revealed its plans for the upcoming Japanese gaming conference.
Capcom’s program for its online event set for September 15 revealed five games the developer plans to bring to Tokyo Games Show 2022.Street Fighter 6was confirmed to be receiving a new trailer during the event, showcasing characters coming to the game, alongside a look at the game’s World Tour and Battle Hub modes.Exoprimalwill also be making an appearance during Capcom’s show with an update on “characters, Exosuits, dinosaurs, and more.“Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreakwill give players their first look into the expansion’s second free update, set to release in Autumn 2022.

The presentation will also feature two new entries into some of Capcom’s most iconic franchises. Capcom’s presentation will feature a segment coveringResident Evil Village Gold Edition, detailing some of the new content for the re-release set to launch in October. Capcom and Sony revealed recently that thePS VR2 version ofResident Evil Villagewill be playable at the event. TheMega Man Battle Network Legacy Collectionwill also be included within the broadcast, showcasing additional features coming to theBattle Networkcompilation.
The announcement of Capcom’s online program for the 2022 presentation also came alongside some special news forStreet Fighter 6. Alongside Capcom’s full presentation,Street Fighter 6will also be receiving a separate focused “Special Program” broadcast later on during the conference. The event is scheduled to take place on September 16th at 8:00 AM PDT with Producer Shuhei Matsumoto, Director Takayuki Nakayama, and Art Director Kaname Fujioka appearing. The program will feature a real-time gameplay demo, as well as anin-depth look atStreet Fighter 6’s visuals.
Capcom’s Tokyo Games Show presentation will be part of a major return to normalcy for the annual convention. Tokyo Games Show confirmed earlier this year that the 2022 event would be thefirst physical Tokyo Games Show since 2019, with 2020 and 2021 being entirely and mostly virtual due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The conference is set to include a variety of big name developers like Konami, Kojima Productions, and Square-Enix among others. With the tagline of “Nothing Stops Gaming”, Tokyo Games Show 2022 will look to see a strong convention to close out the summer.
