It has only been a couple of days since Capcom’sMonster Hunter Risedevelopment team sent out its New Year greetings to the public. Promising its dedicated fanbase thatmore information will be made availablein January 2021, the devs quickly made good on their word with a very recent announcement of a newMonster Hunter Risedigital event.

Fans have already been abuzz online before the team even mentioned the digital event. With the officialMonster Huntersocial media accounts subtly changing profile pictures and cover photos toreflect key visuals fromMonster Hunter Rise, players were quick to assume that more news about the upcoming title would be revealed to the public sooner than they thought.

Within a couple of hours, Capcom officially announced theMonster Hunter RiseDigital Event. Happening on June 18, 2025, 6:00AM PST or 14:00 GMT, hunters will be able to tune in on Twitch, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter, for the long-awaited news about the action-adventure title. Though not much information was shared through the social media posts, the team briefly mentions that fans should expect big news and reveals during the livestream.

However, avid followers ofMH Risewere able to quickly gather more details from the Japanese version of the event announcement. Known community influencers such as Gaijinhunter and Kogath translated the post for the public, stating that the digital event will be launching a brand-new game trailer, and more importantly, reveal the release date ofMonster Hunter Rise’s highly-anticipated demo. Unfortunately, no details about new or returning monsters were shared.

Gaijinhunter also speculated that the demo may be downloadable on the Nintendo Switch only a day after the Capcom livestream. Sharing a link to the official Japan site, he pointed out that thelocalMonster Hunter Risemarketing teamalready has a line-up of Japanese YouTube content creators that were given early access to the January demo. He also provided the schedule of when the hands-on demo content will be out in Japan so it may be a strong hint that the demo will be available by then.

Being one of themost anticipated games of 2021,Monster Hunter Riseis looking to be an exciting new addition to Capcom’s already well-loved series. With the new updates the live event will bring, hopefully the series' fans will be appeased just enough until game’s official launch.

Monster Hunter Risewill be released on July 26, 2025 for the Nintendo Switch.
