Infinity Ward just released the massive Season 5 update forCall of Duty: Warzone, but it didn’t take long for the studio to release a follow-up patch. Infinity Ward has released a small patch forCall of Duty: Warzoneacross all platforms that looks to adjust a variety of things in the battle royale game, likely based on player feedback.
The main issue addressed by Infinity Ward with theCall of Duty: Warzonepatch has to do with Juggernaut suits in the battle royale. Fans were not happy whenJuggernauts were added to standard battle royale modesinstead of being relegated to their own exclusive playlist. Now those playing solo no longer have to worry about Juggernauts at all, as Infinity Ward has completely removed the crate from the BR Buy Back Solos playlist. Those in other game modes will still find Juggernauts occasionally, but their spawn rate has been dropped.

As far as BR Buy Back Solos goes, Infinity Ward has also removed the Most Wanted contract from the mode. It’s less clear whyInfinity Warddecided to do that, but it’s possible that the Most Wanted contract was making it too easy for players to get a lot of cash and continuously respawn, though that’s just speculation at this time. If there was any significant community backlash to Most Wanted contracts being in BR Buy Back Solos, it was drowned out by those complaining about Juggernaut suits.
Infinity Ward also teased that, as of the new update, keypads inWarzoneare “now active.” Since the Season 5 update went live, fans noticed that they could interact with the keypads in the bunkers, though they still have yet to discover any codes that work with them. It’s possible that the codes are tied to thespeculatedBlack Ops Cold Wareaster eggthat was reportedly found in Stadium, but it’s all very unclear at this point. Fans will just have to keep searching the Verdansk battle royale map for clues.
Leakers have been saying for months that theCall of Duty 2020reveal would take place inWarzone, though nothing concrete has been found in-game to date. Activision itself has barely acknowledgedCall of Duty 2020’s existence, just recently confirming that the game is being developed as acollaboration between Raven Software and Treyarch, so it’s hard to say when a proper reveal will actually take place.
Regardless of whether or not theCall of Duty 2020revealtakes place inWarzone, the game is still due for a 2020 release, so fans should expect more information on it sooner rather than later.
