Even the most by-the-books final fights inCall of Duty: Warzonecan be intense, as players are more on edge than they are at any other point in the match. However, most of these clashes take place on the ground, making oneCall of Duty: Warzoneplayer’s decision to attack from above interesting.
Reddit user young_k0be shared his “clutch” play online, and given the start of the clip, it certainly looks as if the player is going to lose. Stuck at the top of the cliffs onVerdansk 84’s Summit, the player is barely inside the storm. Their opponent is below, sitting comfortably inside the circle. As such, they have a clear advantage, able to look straight up at the trapped young_k0be. While the player could attempt to fire down at their opponent, their weapon puts them at a major disadvantage.

While the gamer isusing the MP5 SMG, one of the best secondary guns inside ofCall of Duty: Warzone, it is useless at long range. Given how far up young_k0be is, it is unlikely that they would be able to do enough damage to kill their opponent. On top of this, they only have 25 rounds left in their magazine, making it impossible to kill their foe from so far up. With the storm about to move and a stun grenade throw being unsuccessful, the Reddit user takes a leap of faith.
As theCall of Duty: Warzoneplayerfalls toward the ground, they catch their opponent standing by the edge of the storm. With no cover below and not enough ammo for a lengthy fight, they take the risk of shooting as they fall. Incredibly, they land every shot, showing off superb accuracy as they move rapidly toward the ground below. After enough shots hit, the enemy’s armor is broken, and the player finishes them off before they even hit the ground.
They pull their parachute just before they land, showing off some solid map awareness, and young_k0be likely would have been killed if they had done so any sooner. Even though all the odds were stacked against them, choosing to shoot while falling worked out. Given how fast the player went from the top of the cliff to the ground, their composure during the fall could not be any more impressive. While there have certainly been more over the topCall of Duty: Warzonekills, the fact that this was the final elimination of the match helps set it apart.
WithCall of Duty: Warzone’s MG 82currently dominating the game’s meta, it is nice to see a different weapon used to pick up a win. Further, with young_k0be proving that risks can pay off, players may want to keep an eye on the sky in their future matches.
