After a large update on June 29,Call of Duty: Warzoneplayers began experiencing a copious amount of new bugs. Due to the update adding and balancing weapons, many of these bugs happen because of certain loadouts, causing numerousweapon glitches inCall of Duty. Now, players have been experiencing a game-breaking bug by using the Heartbeat Sensor.
The Heartbeat Sensor is one of the most popular pieces of equipment used inWarzone. With unlimited uses, the Heartbeat Sensor is usually reliable when finding enemies, however many players counter the Heartbeat Sensor with the Ghost perk. The heartbeat sensor is still a valuable tool for at least one player in a squad to have in the loadout. However, the bug players are experiencing causesWarzoneto crash when switching to the Heartbeat Sensor.

Reddit user, “Leeuwarden-HF” shared the bug in a video. In the middle of aWarzonegame, the first attempt at switching to the Heartbeat Sensor, the game freezes for a substantial amount of time. The player claims the bug has been happening for around a week, and many players in the comments have confirmed the bug as well.
Players have determined that the bug usually happens upon using the Heartbeat Sensor for the first time in a match and does not occur after the first use. The previous update, which nerfed the Grau and MP5, could be linked to the bug, as players have been experiencing it for about a week.
With so many players experiencing the bug, a fix should be coming soon. The Heartbeat sensor is almost necessary inWarzoneand players should not have to have a freeze-up as they attempt to find enemies. Some of the bugs from the update were quickly addressed, like themany bugs on the Rytec AMR. An update today fixed the weapon, but no fix was found for the Heartbeat Sensor.
Call of Dutydevelopers may not be aware of every bug, but are usually pretty fast when it comes to fixes to bugs that are particularly detrimental to gameplay. Many players have already confirmed the bug, so it is likely that it has caught the attention of the developers.
It only took about a week to address the Rytec AMR bugs, so it is very possible that another update will occur within a week. The Rytec AMRis still a very popular weapon and should remain so now that it’s bug free. While the developers address the Heartbeat Sensor problem, players can now pick up the Rytec AMR without any bugs attached.
