In a tactical game likeCall of Duty: Warzone, map knowledge is as important as building the right loadouts. From zone locations to player blips, it is important forCall of Duty: Warzonecompetitors to understand and improve their map information. The game offers several ways to accomplish this, but a new bug may be disrupting the flow of information.

Theadvanced UAV is a feature ofCall of Duty: Warzonethat many players use to gain information. While the standard UAV only shows blips in a given radius, the advanced UAV offers live tracking of targets across all of Verdansk. While it is normally expensive to gain an advanced UAV, a new bug seems to be handing them out for free.

This bug was spotted by content creator Aydan during aCall of Duty: Warzonestream. Aydan decided to go off on his own, and after being killed he found a surprise waiting in his map. Upon opening his map right after the kill cam, Aydan was able to see every enemy as small blips scattered across the map. This feature is normally limited to the Advanced UAV system, but a bug triggered this feature without the UAV being bought. Using this information, Aydan spread the intel to his teammates, allowing them to know where the largest clumps of enemies were located through the map using a variety of pings and general descriptions. While the bug only lasted three seconds, the Twitch streamer was able to identify several high-traffic areas around the map.

Normally,Call of Duty: Warzonekillstreaksare bought through an in-game store. The standard UAV pings enemy locations every three seconds for a duration of 30 seconds, and the Advanced UAV can be triggered by stacking three UAV killstreaks.

While thisCall of Duty: Warzonebugdid not last as long as a standard UAV, it did give a glimpse into information that should not have been available. Seeing how Aydan was able to take advantage of this bug, fans are generally concerned to know how frequently this has been happening.

Currently, the bug is not listed on theCall of Dutydeveloper Trello board. Raven Software has several features that are marked for investigation, but none of the current options even suggest a problem with spectating modes.Call of Duty: Warzonefans are encouraged to document any other instances, as this may help a fix arrive quicker.

Call of Duty: Warzoneis available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
