Infinity Ward has released a new update forCall of Duty: Modern Warfarethat should be rolling out to PC, PS4, and Xbox users right now. The update doesn’t make any significant changes and shouldn’t require a download on players' part as it just updates the available playlists, however, there are some notable playlist changes that fans should keep in mind.

The newCall of Duty; Modern Warfareupdate adds Cyber Attack Pro, Face-Off, Gunfight Blueprints, and the Season 5 Moshpit. Out of those, arguably the most notable is the Season 5 Moshpit, as it features new Season 5 maps almost exclusively. Face-Off is also interesting as it features3v3 Gunfight gameplayand maps combined with match types that are usually reserved for 6v6 game modes.

Call of Duty: Warzone, meanwhile, has removed Plunder Quads and Solos Buy Back, replacing them with standard BR Solos andPlunder: Blood Money. This decision will likely upset some members of theCall of Duty: Warzonecommunity, as some prefer pure Plunder over Blood Money, and the Solos Buy Back mode has proven to be quite popular. However, withCall of Dutyplaylists changing on a near-weekly basis, it’s possible that fans will get to play them again sooner rather than later.

WhileWarzonefans don’t have any big changes to note in this latest update, though, there is still more content for fans to look forward to later in the week. Tomorrow marks the last day of theCall of Duty 2020teases, which have included Activision releasing newWarzonecodes that players can use to open doors and bunkers throughout the battle royale map. Unless Activision changes things up, it’s quite likely that August 19 will seeWarzoneplayers being able to get into a previously inaccessible area with loot and moreCall of Duty 2020clues.

Looking further ahead, more substantial updates are on the horizon for bothCall of Duty: WarzoneandCall of Duty: Modern Warfare. As usual, Activision has abig mid-Season 5 updatein the works, which should add new game modes, maps, weapons, and more, though specific details on that have yet to be revealed. Season 6 will likely follow after that, which should be an even bigger update for the game.

The support forCall of Duty: Modern Warfarein terms of new content will likely slow down later this year whenCall of Duty 2020launches, but fans can expectWarzoneto keep getting new content on a regular basis.Activisionplans onWarzonebeing a “constant” for theCall of Dutyfranchise moving forward, so it will likely receive new content for years to come.
