That early commercial momentum is bound to be helped by the newly launched deals on the console versions ofModern Warfare 3that Activision introduced as part of its Black Friday 2023 offerings. Specifically, the digital copy of the game can currently be picked up for $59.49, or 15% off, from the Microsoft Store and its PlayStation rival. Both storefronts are selling the cross-gen version of the shooter that also comes with a few goodies that were previously part oftheModern Warfare 3pre-order bonuses, including the Soap Operator Pack and Zombie Ghost Operator Skin.

The physical versions ofModern Warfare 3for the PS5 and Xbox consoles have also been treated to near-identical discounts on Amazon and can currently be picked up for $60, 14% off their regular price. The Xbox copies are being sold directly by Microsoft, while the PS5 offer comes from Microsoft’s latest subsidiary, Activision. Neither Amazon promo has a set expiry date, but if the newly introduced deals on the digital versions ofModern Warfare 3are any indication, these physical copies won’t be discounted beyond Saturday, November 25.
As tends to be the case with each newCall of Dutyentry, the recent arrival ofModern Warfare 3was just the beginning of the game’s ambitious multiplayer experience that its developers will continue to expand over the following 12 months. Among many other novelties, the first back-to-back sequel in the history of the series significantly revamps its Zombies mode, which is no longer level-based but completely open-world. COD: MW3 Price Is Unlikely To Go Any Lower in 2023
While it’s possible that Activision will reintroduce this 15% discount come Cyber Monday, the price ofModern Warfare 3is unlikely to drop below its Black Friday threshold before 2024. For reference, the first timeMW2received a price cut greater than 15% was back in February, almost three months following its release, when it was temporarily available at 25% off.
