Redditor OriginalXVI posted the video online, which experimented with advanced UAVs to see why some enemies fade out of view for seemingly no reason. The answer is remarkably simple. Infinity Ward has accidentally made it so that players using unsilencedweapons inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2will fade out from the advanced UAV, while players using a silencer will remain detected. It’s a pretty elementary error, and one that should be easily fixed, as it should be the other way around for the advanced UAV to work as intended. However, there will definitely be some players that have died as a result of this, so it’s an understandable frustration for the community.
Others in the thread were baffled by the discovery, which seems to have huge implications for silencers in the game. One user even pondered, “So what’s the point of having silencers in the game,” and it’s certainly an interesting question.Call of Dutyhas always been agame series with realistic gun silencers, but this unfortunate issue threatens that. Players also raised the possibility of other issues with the advanced UAV, claiming that enemies are also showing up on the radar after death.
WithCall of Duty 2023on the way, gamers will be hoping the next iteration of the long-running franchise is a slightly more stable experience. The game will be Sledgehammer Games' fourth attempt at aCall of Dutytitle, but players have never massively taken to the studio’s efforts. On the back ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, it represents a great opportunity to win players over and present the best game in the series for a long time. While the game still isn’t officially announced, rumors currently suggest it will beCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and it won’t be long until gamers get to find out for certain.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
