The PS5 is finally here, and with it are a plethora of exciting launch titles likeDemon’s Souls,Spider-Man: Miles Morales, andBugsnax. Though, out of all ofPS5’s best launch games,Bugsnaxis far and away the strangest and most whimsical of the bunch.
Those who are familiar withBugsnaxknow that a large part of the game revolves around capturing food-like creatures and giving them to characters around the game’s world. One of those creatures, the Bunger, might end up givingBugsnaxplayers a bit of trouble when it comes to actually capturing it.

Where to find a Bunger
There are a wide variety of creatures called Bugsnax to catch over the course ofBugsnax’s story.Much ofBugsnax’s gameplaycenters around traversing Snaktooth Island and stumbling across different Bugsnax that players must capture and bring to various NPCs. One of those NPCs, who is named Wambus, will task the player with catching a Bunger. The task is called “Burger Time,” as the Bunger is a hamburger-esque creature with curly fries for legs.
The Bunger is located in an area of Snaktooth Island called Garden Grove. Players who have reached Garden Grove will recognize Wambus as the blue NPC wearing the large cowboy hat. Wambus will initially task players with rounding up some Bungers in a nearby pen. After that, Wambus will task the player with catchinga few more ofBugsnax’s weirder creatures. Eventually, Wambus will give players the “Burger Time” task which has players catching a Bunger.
How to Catch a Bunger
Catching a Bunger is actually trickier than one might think. Players are going to need to use the Sauce Slinger item and either Ketchup or Mustard. Thankfully, Wambus is a Ketchup farmer, so players will be able to get some Ketchup from him to aid in catching a Bunger. While players can catchBugsnaxin a variety of different ways, likecatching the CinnasnailBugsnaxwith traps or the grapple gun, the easiest way to catch a Bunger is with Ketchup. First, players should head down to the river in the lower area of Garden Grove.
Next, players should encounter multiple Bungers in the grassy area on either side of the river. Players simply need to lure the Bunger’s close to one another and then cover each Bunger in Ketchup. Covering each Bunger in Ketchup makes both Bunger’s run into each other, stunning them. With each Bunger stunned, players simply need to walk about to one and catch it in the net. With that, another one ofBugsnax’s plethora of creaturesis marked off the list.
