Sasuke Uchiha is one of the strongest characters in the entire history of theNarutoseries. Born as a genius of the Uchiha clan, Sasuke had great expectations thrust on him from the very beginning. He was an incredibly talented ninja from the get-go, however, his incredible work ethic as well as his zeal to surpass Naruto pushed him to the extremes and made him what he is today.

By the end of theNarutoseries, Sasuke was easily one of the very strongest Shinobi to have ever lived. The only one stronger than himat the time was Naruto Uzumaki.Things have changed quite a lot since then. For one, Sasuke is now an adult and, as such, he has a lot more experience. However, his level of strength has also changed inBoruto. After theBorutotimeskip, it is sure to change once again and Sasuke might actually get stronger than before.
Sasuke Uchiha’s Strength Before The Boruto Timeskip
Before theBorutotimeskip, Sasuke Uchiha was certainly one of the strongest in the entire world, along with Naruto. In fact, at the beginning of the series, Sasuke and Naruto were said to be equal by the author himself. By adulthood,Sasuke had mastered the powers of both of his eyes, the Sharingan, as well as the Rinnegan. His control over his abilities saw him take on the likes of Kinshiki without much trouble at all. Furthermore, he then went on to clash with Momoshiki and fared quite well against him, much to the surprise of everyone, despite the latter being in his fused state.
Sasuke’s strength was there for everyone to see. When he faced Jigen, Sasuke was shown the limitations of his ability. He clearly fell short and could not fight against him on an even footing. Things only got worse for him from there onwards as, in the fight against Isshiki, he was largely ineffective. Furthermore, to make things even worse, Momoshiki took over Boruto Uzumaki and stabbed Sasuke right in his Rinnegan. This led Sasuke to lose his eye and, with that, a big portion of his powers. After that, Sasuke has not been in any major fights, however, his skill was still believed to be of the highest order. At that point in the story, Sasuke might actually have been stronger than Naruto. However, currently, he is certainly going to be much stronger, given that he has had 3 years to train further.
Sasuke Uchiha’s Training During The Timeskip
At the end of Part One ofBoruto,Sasuke Uchiha left the village with Boruto Uzumaki.This came on the back of a fight between Boruto and Kawaki, which resulted in the latter fleeing from the village. When he had nowhere to go, Ada appeared in front of him and granted him his innermost desire through the ability of Omnipotence. Kawaki wished for the life of Boruto Uzumaki and wanted Boruto to see what life he had been living. The two ended up switching lives and Boruto was branded as a traitor to the village and, at the same time, the Killer of the 7th Hokage.

Thankfully for Boruto, Sarada was unaffected by this, and thus, Sasuke was told the truth. He believed Boruto and, together, the two left the village in order to train and get stronger. Sasuke is a meticulous trainer and someone who has always honed his abilities whenever he gets the time. Even while Naruto was the Hokage, Sasuke was out in the open, hunting the Otsutsuki and training his abilities. There is no reason for him to not have trained his skills even further during the timeskip.
Sasuke’s Strength After The Timeskip
The timeskip of Boruto has already ended and Sasuke Uchiha has not shown up so far. Fans have gotten a good look at Boruto Uzumaki, Sarada Uchiha, Kawaki and even Mitsuki after the timeskip ofBoruto. Among the old characters, fans got to see Shikamaru and Konohamaru in the first chapter of Boruto Part 2. Surprisingly, Sasuke was nowhere to be seen. This leads a lot of fans to believe that something happened to him, especially given that Code was chasing Boruto and Sasuke throughout the timeskip.
Code has also received injuries, such as one of his eyes being slashed and shut forever. While it is possible that Sasuke Uchiha could have suffered some terrible fate, it is unlikely, given that a character with importance such as his would not get dealt with off-panel.
It is only a matter of time before Sasuke Uchiha makes his presence known inBorutoandhe will return stronger than ever before.Sasuke is a very strong ninja, however, after losing his Rinnegan, he had to train even harder to compete with the likes of the Otsutsuki. Sasuke is not one to sit by and get rusty. Furthermore, he isn’t old enough to be beyond his prime either. Sasuke is still in the prime of his abilities and fans can expect great things for him. For instance, Sasuke could have trained his Sharingan to the next level and attained new abilities or unlocked new applications of the same power. The power of Susanoo could have been enhanced upon, or, Sasuke could also have developed more pseudo-Kekkei Genkai, such as Ice Release, which he has already demonstrated once before.
Will Sasuke Regain His Former Level?
It is difficult to say if Sasuke Uchiha will regain his former power level inBoruto. He was incredibly strong and could fight against nearly any foe in the entire series. The main reason why Sasuke was weakened so much was for the sake of the next generation. The authors wanted the next generation to shine and they did so at the expense of those of the older generation. This is something that doesn’t sit right with quite a lot of the fans and, perhaps, the story writers might have noticed that this approach isn’t quite right. Boruto and his group should be allowed to shine without having to take anything away from the likes of Naruto, Sasuke, and those from their generation.
This wouldn’t be the first time that Sasuke would get stronger after losing something. After his fight against Naruto, he lost his arm and, despite that, he rose to the same level as Naruto himself. If he did it once, he can certainly do it again. While he certainly is missing out onthe powers of the Rinnegan, he could make up for it by using other abilities that he has and training them to the highest level. There is a lot of potential for the character of Sasuke to grow from here onwards and fans can only hope that the writers of Boruto will take that into consideration and make this fighter reach his former levels of power once again. Sasuke is a beloved character and one that every fan would love to see back at his very best.
