Overwatch’sOfficial Twitter posted that the first novel from Blizzard Entertainment will be released on July 03, 2025, exactly a week after this announcement.The Hero of Numbaniwill focus on the story of child prodigy Efi Oladele, the girl who builtOrisato keep the city of Numbani safe from Doomfist. Along with those three characters, Lucio will also be making appearances in the story. An excerpt of the story is free to read and can be found onOverwatch’swebsite, giving fans a taste of what they can expect from the full novel. The short preview details more about Eli and her story, displaying memories of her friends and family that set the stage to her building Orisa and journey to become the hero of Numbani.
Blizzardoriginally revealed its plans for the novel last October, announcing that the story would be fully released in May. However, the launch date was delayed a month to the current planned release on June 2.The Hero of Numbaniis currently available for pre-order on Amazon, listed at $9.99 for paperback versions and $5.99 for digital editions.
