For most of the game, Ken will tend to focus on outdoor activities, gathering resources and exploration. Because of this, it’s worth investing in hisPhysicalskill. Despite this, it’s a good idea to allow for some variety, even in feisty survivors.Stranded: Alien Dawnhas done a fantastic job of incorporating several factors into their survivor AI, so players should try not to make a survivor’s life too mundane, lest they have a decrease in theirHappiness.

Emelin Leth, a 35-year-old exotic cuisine chef, is a top-notch supportive survivor inStranded: Alien Dawn. She is an exquisite cook who can give survivors aHappinessboost every time she cooks a meal. On top of that, her cheerful personality gives apermanentHappiness boost to fellow survivors.

Since Emelin does not have the best Combat, Intellect, and Physical skills. She is best suited for supporting some skill gaps left by other survivors in players' teams, meaning if game fans find themselves lacking Farming or Construction on their team, they can make Emelin learn those skills to compensate. But of course, keeping in mind mundane repetitiveness, it’s not a bad idea to let Emelin go on easyresource gathering expeditionsevery once in a while. Greyson Valk, a carpenter nearing 51 years of age, is one of the most powerful early/mid-game survivors that players can pick. Greyson is an avid carpenter; constructing wood-based items/buildings will take a fourth of the time it would take otherwise. However, despite this powerful special trait, Greyson is pretty slow; having 25% less movement speed than other survivors.
Considering his slow walking speed and base skills, survivalists should focus on using Greyson in construction/research/crafting-based tasks. Another positive: Greyson isInterestedin crafting, which means he will gain Happiness whenever crafting. Advancing Greyson in these activities will make good use of his innate abilities as an intellectually capable survivor, instead of sending him out on long expeditions or combat, to which he isIndifferentto.
Vanessa Valk, a 46-year-old pathologist, is one of the best healers inStranded: Alien Dawn.She’s an impeccable healer. Failing a medical treatment is off the cards for the team’s pathologist. Quite ironically though, she’s sickly and recovers health twice as slow as any other survivor. Despite her shortcomings, Vanessa is a musical prodigy who can instill Happiness in other survivors when playing music.
Vanessa’s “Impeccable Healer” trait can conserve the teams medical supplies. Since Vanessa cannot fail medical treatments, players can make use of these supplies to heal Vanessa herself owing to her being sickly. Also, Vanessa’s music is an excellent way to keep other survivors relaxed and happy during nighttime. Players should also note that Vanessa and Greyson are married, so letting them sleep next to the other is another way of keeping both of them happy. Unlike Greyson, however, Vanessa isIndifferentto crafting, which means she’ll have reduced happiness when crafting.

Samantha Craft is a 30-year-old botanist who particularly excels in xenobotany. Her special trait, Engineer, allows her to construct devices and furniture three times as fast. She is a vegetarian.

Samantha Craft is an outstanding and versatile survivor, her base skills make her proficient in combat and research situations. Furthermore, she is notIndifferentto anything, quite the opposite. Samantha finds joy in construction activities. This Happiness buff alongside the characters reduced work-time makes Samantha Craft quite the formidable survivor.
At 26, Krista Yul is a prodigious cybersecurity analyst. Krista’s genius allows her to have occasional insights which boost her research progress. On the off-hand, her clumsy nature makes herIncapableof crafting anything.
Krista Yul has the highest base intellect stat, this makes her the ideal survivor for performing research as quickly and efficiently as possible. Her powers are a tad bit too specific though; she can help out with farming and construction/cooking tasks, but it’s going to be a while before she’s super useful in those areas.
A 55-year-old general, Jack Davies. He’s one of the best survivors combat wise who can even call upon his past experience as a combat instructor to occasionally improve the combat skill of other survivors. Interestingly, Jack Davies isinterestedin cooking.
Both Jack and Ken have the highest base combat inStranded: Alien Dawn.For players looking for an aggressive playthrough, these two survivors are the best picks. A noteworthy characteristic of Jack is his efficacy; he remains modest, but is in fact a highly intelligent andstrong, leaderly individualwho is not afraid to break the chain of command.
Conclusion
Although these survivors are excellent for general use, it is imperative to mention that this list is not all glitter and gold.
