With the release of the first gameplay trailer for the highly anticipatedMarvel’s Spider-Man 2, fans have been talking about everything that has been revealed about the game, so far. And the thing that they have been talking about the most has been the confirmation of theBlack Suitbeing in the game. The “Black Suit”, otherwise known as the Symbiote Suit is Spider-Man’s suit when a Symbiote is attached to him.

Depending on the universe, Spider-Man’s control over the Black Suit varies. But usually, it makes him more aggressive but also stronger, and he develops other abilities like using tendril attacks with his arms. Black Suit Spider-Man is a fan favorite and there’s always the hope that there will be a chance to play as him when a newSpider-Mangame releases. For fans that can’t wait for the release ofMarvel’s Spider-Man 2, there are several great games where they can play with the Black Suit.
7The Amazing Spider-Man
The Amazing Spider-Manis an open-world game that came out in 2012. Based on the movie of the same name, the game is set a few months after the events of the film. After discovering that Oscorp is still conducting Cross-Species experiments, a Cross-Species test subject gets loose and infects several people, including Gwen Stacy.
To find a cure for them,Spider-Man busts Connors outof the psychiatric hospital he was put in to help him find the escaped Cross-Species and to develop a cure. The Black Suit is one of many suits that can be unlocked.
6Ultimate Spider-Man
Ultimate Spider-Mancame out in 2005 and was available for multiple platforms, like thePlayStation 2, and even handhelds like theNintendo DS. The handheld version of the game was very different from the PC and console versions as the handhelds were side-scrollers and the console and pc version was open-world.

Gameplay is split between Spider-Man and Venom, with the game switching back and forth between them. Spider-Man tries to live his normal life as Peter Parker, while Eddie, who Spider-Man thought was dead, goes around eating people as Venom as he regains his strength. Besides being able to play Venom with the Symbiote suit, the Suit is unlockable for Spider-Man, though it doesn’t offer any bonuses or special abilities.
5Lego Marvel Super Heroes
Despite not being a game solely under theSpider-Manfranchise,LEGO Marvel Super Heroesis one of the best games to feature the web-slinger. Players get to take control of many heroes from the differentMarveluniverses as they join forces tostop Loki and the other Marvel villainsfrom making a world-destroying super weapon.
Of course, Spider-Man is on the roster of characters that can be played and has all of his usual moves. But for those who want even more Spider-Man, they can buy theLEGO Marvel Super Heroes DLC: Super Pack, which lets them also play as Symbiote Spider-Man and other characters.
4Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro
Spider-Man 2: Enter Electrois the sequel to 2000’sSpider-Mangame, though it didn’t quite reach the level of acclaim as its predecessor,Spider-Man 2: Enter Electrois still a pretty good game.

Spider-Man has to stop Electro from using a device called the Bio-Nexues Device which would let him obtain unlimited power. Just like in the first game, players can unlock the Black Suit, and it has the same powers as it did before; unlimited webbing.

Despite being made over 2 decades ago, 2000sSpider-Mangame is still one of the bestSpider-Mangames out there. Made for thePlayStationthe plot of the game revolves around Spider-Man trying to stop Doctor Octopus' plans of unleashing a symbiote invasion. The game features many characters fromtheSpider-Mancomics, Black Cat, Venom, Doctor Octopus, and many more.
It also features other Marvel characters that come in to help Spider-Man, like Daredevil, Captain America, and more. The Black Suit is one of many unlockable suits that players can get. Its special ability is that it has unlimited webbing, so players never have to worry about running out as they play the game.
2Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions
Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensionsis a 2010 action-adventure game that’s based on theSpider-Mancomics and the different universes of the multiverse. Spider-Man accidentally shatters an artifact called the Tablet of Order and Chaos as he tries to stop Mysterio from stealing it. Spider-Man is then approached by Madame Web who tells him the true power of the tablet and that the various fragments of the Tablet had been scattered among 4 different universes;The Amazing Spider-Manwhich is the universe the game begins in,Spider-Man Noir,Spider-Man 2099andUltimate Spider-Man.

To collect all the fragments, Madame Web recruits the Spider-Men of the different universes. The Spider-Man ofUltimate Spider-Manwears the Black Suit and players get to play as that Spider-Man in part of the game as he faces off a powered-up Electro. While the other Spider-Men use their webs during combat, Black Suit Spider-Man doesn’t as the arms of the Black Suit extend into tendrils and attack Electro.
1Spider-Man: Web Of Shadows
Spider-Man: Web of Shadowsis one of the more dark Spider-Man in terms of plot. After a fight with Venom, Spider-Man ends up with a piece of the symbiote attached to him. The city gradually becomes overrun by Symbiotes, asthey take overand control citizens, heroes, and villains alike.
Not only does Spider-Man have to find a way to save the city, but he also has to fight off the influence of the Black Suit. Part of the story has players control Spier-Man in the Black Suit, which makes him stronger and more aggressive in his attacks. He also gains the ability to use tendril attacks.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2is scheduled to release in fall 2023 for PS5.
