A new BTE Champion has been crowned on the latest episode of Being The Elite. The channel began uploading videos back in 2016, where currentAEWstars The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega would document their wrestling journeys for fans. Since then, the channel has evolved to include several skits that include various members of the promotion’s roster.
Many stars have come and gone throughout the history of Being the Elite, as wrestlers fluctuate between companies likeAEWand WWE. Adam Cole is a longtime friend of The Young Bucks and wasa frequent presence on Being The Elitebefore he joined the NXT roster in 2017. After Cole made his AEW debut in 2021, he was brought back on the YouTube series.

Going into the latest episode of Being the Elite, entitled “Young Bucks VS FTR 2,” Cole was the reigning and defending BTE Champion. In the episode, Cole would be goaded into defending his BTE Championship against Christopher Daniels in a game of Blackjack. Daniels would take the lead in the matchup early on, as Cole struggled to fully figure out the rules of the game. Daniels would sweep Cole 4-0 beforeCole would consult with Nick Jackson. Nick would seemingly give a speech against Cole, but the speech would ultimately rally Cole to make a remarkable comeback and tie the score at 4-4. The last round would go in Daniels' favor and crown him the new BTE Champion.
Cole won the BTE Championship on episode 296, entitled “Young Bucks, Please Go Home…,” which premiered on August 09, 2025. The champion at the time was 2point0’s Matt Lee, a current member ofthe Jericho Appreciation Societyunder the name “Daddy Magic” Matt Mendard. Cole defeated Menard in a game of High-Low, where the pair would draw from a deck of cards and give the round to the individual with the highest card. The YouTube series' epic showdown between Cole and Daniels would be the third high-stakes match that would occur during AEW’s stint in Boston last week.
On the April 6 episode ofDynamite, the Young Bucks would take on FTR in a long-awaited rematch where FTR put both their AAA Tag Team Championship and ROH Tag Team Championship on the line. In what many have considered one of the greatest tag team matches in recent years, FTR would retain their championships. On the April 8 episode ofRampage,newly crowned ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta wouldtake on Jon Moxleyin hopes of impressing him and finally being welcomed into the Blackpool Combat Club. The match between the two not only resulted in Yuta officially being welcomed into William Regal’s elite club but has catapulted the young wrestler into the spotlight.
This week, AEW is set to make their debut in New Orleans, Louisiana. The fall out of the Young Buck’s recent defeat will have to wait to be seen, but Cole is scheduled to take on the AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page in a Texas Death Match on Friday’s episode ofRampage. Being the Elite mentioned the match ina segment with Page and the Dark Order, where they prepared eulogies for whoever fails to capture the gold. What the result of this week’s AEW programming will have on the next episode of BTE will be seen next Monday.
