Due to the influx of new players, there have been many people wanting to know some beginner tips for the game, as it came out fairly recently and is a rather complex title. A player going in without any info might become overwhelmed by trying to learn everything at once.
7The Prologue Is Useful
Although many players tend to skip through the prologue, as it can be rather bland (and hand-holding, in some cases) and they would want to jump straight into the game. However, inTotal War: Warhammer 3, the prologue isextremely useful for first-time players.
The prologue of this game will teach a player everything they need to know for their first time playing, such as how to build settlements. It can also offer tips that most people won’t pick up right off the bat, such as how to use the terrain against an enemy. Overall, there is no downside to picking up the prologue.

6Learn The Mechanics Of Factions
Players can join amultitude of factions inTotal War: Warhammer 3,and each faction works differently from one another. Any player would be able to find a play-style that’s to their liking, as long as they figure out which faction works best. As it stands, every faction in the game plays in a different way, so customization is key.
One faction, for example, is fighting amongst itself and is extremely close to erupting into a civil war. Another faction, however, is war-thirsty and would benefit more from destroying nearby settlements. A player should take the time to learn more about each faction before picking one for their playthrough.

5Learn Everyone’s Strengths And Weaknesses
There are manycharacters that a player can pickwhile playing the game, and it would benefit them greatly to learn how each type of character works during game-play. For example, the Khorne faction is at its absolute with melee fighting. Meanwhile, another faction would do better with casting spells but might fall short at melee combat.

Taking fifteen or twenty minutes to learn how each unit works would make game-play much easier for a player to pick up. It’s no fun when a player takes a melee-focused team against a place that punishes melee fighters the hardest, while completely ignoring the spell-casters of the team.
It may seem obvious in hindsight, but many players fail to realize that if they conglomerate all of their units into one area, it’s easy for an enemy to burst them all down at once.

Although it can be easier to rush all of a player’s units into one area and cut their way through the enemies, it thus makes it far easier for all of their units to die. It’s better to spread out the player’s units into a long line,to cover all of the enemy units, and verify as many units as possible will stay alive.
3Don’t Forget Flanking
Flanking is important to payattention to inTotal War: Warhammer 3.A flank needs to be protected, while the enemy’s flank should be attacked as soon as possible. A player can use Shift and then click their right mouse button in order to set up their units’ flanking path.
Although flanking works the best on particularly rugged terrain (as the area can help hide the troops so they can’t be spotted by the enemy), it’s still a good idea to remember how to flank even on a large battlefield. There is almost no downside to learning how to flank.

2Learn And Understand The Campaign’s Maps
The map that a player is given is huge. Most of it will be covered up, unfortunately, meaning that a player will have to work with what little they have at first in order to start progressing through the game. Luckily, as a player explores, they’ll discover more areas and unveil more of the map.
A player would dogood to learn more about the mapbefore they delve deeper into the game. It would be a good idea to know what the best places to discover are, along with what spaces are beneficial, easy to conquer, and so on.

1Balance The Treasury
The treasury is where all of the player’s funds are stored. Although it may be tempting to blow all of their income on hiring more and more units into their party, this will also cause the party to need more money. This will always end up putting a dent in the player’s incomebefore they have a way to gain it back.
A player needs to know when to spend and when to save. They can steal gold from other factions, or they could create buildings that give them more gold. Overall, it is a thin line to balance upon.
Total War: Warhammer 3is available on Windows, Linux, and Mac.
