There are two things players should buy first from the Merchant.Grab the case upgrade so that Leon can carry more items.Even though there is a storage mechanic now, a bigchange in theResident Evil 4remake, most things cannot be stored anyway.
The other purchase should be the Bolt Thrower which is a new item. It launches arrows at enemies, and these arrows will never break. They can be lost but never broken. So,to conserve ammo, buy the Bolt Thrower ASAP.
4Upgrade Tips
After those two things are acquired from theMerchant in theResident Evil 4remake, players should upgrade the ammo capacity and power for whatever shotgun and pistol they have. Ammo, this time around, will not be granted on an empty weapon that is upgraded.
So, don’t try using that trick in the remake. It’s still good to have an upgraded ammo slot, though, so one doesn’t have to reload as much. Give the Bolt Thrower some upgrades, too, to fully round out Leon’s arsenal.
