Players wanting to give themselves an edge in the boss fight with Axeley in Act 2 will only need to learn one little secret that will also net them an achievement in the process.

The fight with Axeley near the end of Act 2 inBattletoadscan certainly be tough, however, there is one way to make this brawl a little easier. Whenever Axeley finishes his series of ground pound attacks, his axe will be stuck in the floorboards. While players' first instinct will be to run to the lumberjack champion and beat the snot out of him, players can lock him in place for longer by using the spit attack — holding down the left trigger and pressing A. Not only will this allow players to get some extra hits in, but it will unlock the"Take This, Axeman!" achievementfor a cool 5 gamerscore.
Battletoadshas seen quite a bit of success since it released this past week. While some have been concerned about what a newBattletoadsgame could look like in 2020 after the last game released 26 years ago, the newestBattletoadsreviewsindicate it nails a plethora of genres and is genuinely a hilarious time. Add in the fact that the game is available on Xbox Game Pass and it’s easy to see why the game is a smashing success.
The toads have seen references and crossovers quite frequently during those 26 years off, however. Rash donned his classic sunglasses and joined the fray in Rare’sKiller Instinct5 years ago and can be found as an oversized action figure in Obsidian Entertainment’sGrounded. Seafarers inSea of Thievescan also earn theFightin' Frogs ship setby completing Act 1 ofBattletoads. It certainly seems like the toads are here to stay after this game’s success.
