Summary
Amulets and necklaces inBaldur’s Gate 3are vital components of a character’s gear, occupying a crucial equipment slot. Equipping the ideal Amulet is essential for perfecting a character’s build.
Unlike weapons and armor, which provide straightforward buffs, amulets are often more esoteric in nature, buffing certain playstyles in small ways that can be incredibly impactful with the right build. For spellcasters, amulets can be even more critical than armor, enabling unique playstyles that would otherwise be unattainable.

The wearer gains an additional level 2 spell slot.
How to Get
Found in theHigh Security Vault n°1in the Counting House in Act 3.
While the effect of the Spell Savant Amulet is excellent for casters, the reason it’s not higher on the list is because of the fact that it can only be obtained extremely late in the game, practically right at the end. By the time players get this Amulet, they’ll likely have graduated all the way up tolevel 5 spells, maybe even level 6 ones.

Having one extra level 2 spell slot won’t make a world of difference, but it’s better than many of the alternatives. That is also not to say that level 2 spells become obsolete late-game—far from it. However, as levels increase, the spell slots for lower-level spells increase with them, rendering getting more options to castlow-level spellsnot very desirable. Despite that, the Spell Savant Amulet is tailor-made for casters, and they’ll only benefit from wearing it.
Defensive Option Against Melee Attacks
Effect
When the wearer is below half health, they don’t provoke Attacks of Opportunity.
Found in thelocked chest in the Owlbear cavethat can be opened by solving the Selunite puzzle in Act 1.

TheMoondrop Pendantis one of the few items inBaldur’s Gate 3that can be worn by absolutely anybody and still show its value at any turn. While it works wonders for melee fighters, as they’re the ones most likely to get byAttacks of Opportunity, these classes often have high defenses to begin with and can often afford to take the hit on the chin.
Not so for spellcasters. Unless they’re a Paladin or a particularly tanky War Domain Cleric, casters mostly wear simple clothing, making them naturally low on AC. If an enemy Rogue or Druid were to get in melee range of a squishy caster, the Moondrop Pendant could offer a safe passage out, even from within a sea of fighters.

Excellent For Late-Game Warlocks
Each time the wearer deals ranged spell damage, the target is afflicted with two turns of Reverberation.
Found on a mimic in the upper floors ofMoonrise Towers in Act 2. Only drops if the chest is destroyed in one hit.

Reverberation inBaldur’s Gate 3is an extremely powerful effect. When stacked for 5 turns, the target afflicted by the effect is knocked prone, rendering them completely helpless. With this in mind, the Spineshudder Amulet might seem absolutely broken at first glance. The tooltip text suggests that any ranged spell will trigger the Amulet’s special effect. That is not so. Only Attack Roll spells work to activate the Amulet’s special effect (Scorching Ray,Guiding Bolt, and Eldrich Blast); spammingMagic Missileto knock over everyone in sight is unfortunately not on the table.
While other caster classes will find the Spineshudder Amulet’s gimmick only mildly useful, Warlocks will get the most out of this Amulet as with the correctEldritch Invocationsthey can customize theEldritch Blastto not only deal massive damage but hit targets multiple times, knocking them on their back when their Reverberation stacks get to 5.

Increases Tankiness And Survivability
The wearer’s constitution ability score is set to 23. Has no effect if the CON stat is greater than 23 without the Amulet equipped.
Found in the Archive of theHouse of Hopein Act 3.
InBG3, Any item that lets your character increase one of their stats past 20 is an incredible find, especially if it helps survivability. Perhaps a bit counterintuitive, even though theAmulet of Greater Healthincreases Constitutions, wearing it benefits spellcasters more than dedicated tanks.
Why? Because tanks typically already have plenty of CON to go around and the extra health won’t do them much good. Even more so if they’re already above 23 CON. It’d be a downgrade! Giving the Amulet of Greater Health to a spellcaster ensures that their CON is right up there with the best of them. The boost can be especially drastic if they chose CON as a dump statduring character creation.

More Level 3 Spells
The wearer gains the ability to restore a single level 3 spell slot per short rest.
Can be bought from Omeluum in the Myconid Colony aftercompleting Omeluum’s questin Act 1.

A spellcaster’s biggest weakness is the lack of spell slots available to them. Even if players remember to long rest regularly to restore spent slots, it’s easy for players to find themselves in awkward situations where they have the perfect counter to any enemy in the form of a spell, but the spell cannot be used because of poor planning. The Pearl of Power Amulet gives players the safety net ofonemore spell they can cast in a pinch. And since it resets per short rest, it can technically be used to restore threelevel 3 spell slotsper long rest.
Having said that, the Pearl of Power Amulet is only good if players get it very early in the game. Since it is being sold by Omeluum, who can be found in thefirst section of the Underdark, it can be obtained early if players complete his Parasite quest right away.

Cantrips Hit Harder
When the wearer casts a Cantrip dealing Acid, Damage Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Thunder damage, their Spellcasting Modifier is added to the damage dealt.
Found inside a display case inCreche Yllekin Act 1. Another one can be found on the shipwreck in Wyrm’s Crossing in Act 3.

Despite being essentially novice spells,Cantrips inBaldur’s Gate 3remain relevant for combat right up until the very end of the game. Spell slots are extremely limited, and players will find themselves relying on the inexhaustible well of magic that is Cantrips much more often than they might initially think, especially against non-boss enemies.
TheNecklace of Elemental Augmentationbuffs damage dealing cantrips directly, allowing casters to add a plus modifier based on their primary stat.Charisma for Sorcerers, Warlocks, Paladins, and Bards; Intelligence for Wizards and Rogues (Arcane Trickster); and Wisdom for Druids, Clerics, and Monks. The damage increase is not insane but it’s consistent damage that can be relied upon.
Restore Spell Slots Mid-Combat
The wearer gains the ability to restore any spell slot asa bonus actiononce per long rest.
Found on the prison warden in Moonrise Towers in Act 2.
Similar to thePearl of Power Amulet, theSpellcrux Amuletallows players to restore a spell slot, allowing them to sling just one more spell before needing to fall back on cantrips. Unlike the Pearl of Power, this Amulet doesn’t have a limit on what the level of the spell slot is; even alevel 6 spellslot can be restored.
And, since this effect is a bonus action instead of an Action, players will have a much easier time using it mid-combat. However, to balance everything out, this ability requires a long rest to recharge, making it much less spammable than Pearl of Power. Despite that, having the ability to restore a spell slot is always useful to have, especially in the late game.
Good Defensive Option Against Spell Effects
The wearer gains Advantage on all Intelligence, Charisma, and Wisdom saving throws.
Quest reward for completing ‘Avenge the Hag Survivors’ in Act 3.
Advantage inBaldur’s Gate 3means that each time the player has to roll for something, they roll two dice instead of one and take the higher roll. Having Advantage dramatically boosts the chance that a roll will be successful because the odds are essentially doubled that the result will be a positive one.
Since most casters like to stay in the back, protected by their tanks, they’re much more likely to be targeted by ranged spells and attacks. And since a good majority of spells require either an INT, CHA, or WIS save, having Advantage any time such a roll happens by equipping theFey Semblance Amuletis an incredible boon to have. The only thing casters will have to worry about from other casters is AoE spells like Fireball that require a DEX save.
Increases Spell Hit Chance
The wearer gains +2 bonus to Spell Save DC and an extra charge to Channel Divinity (if applicable).
Found inside a chest in the basement of the Stormshore Tabernacle in Act 3.
Spell Save DC is one of, if notthemost important stat all casters want to improve inBaldur’s Gate 3. It is one of the only ways casters canincrease their spells' hit chance directly, allowing them to miss less of their precious spell slots, making them that much more effective in combat. Difficulty Check means that when a save spell is cast at a target, the roll they have to make to protect themselves is defined by the DC of the caster’s spells. If, say, the caster has the Amulet of the Devout equipped, a spell save that would have otherwise required the enemy to roll a 15, now requires them to roll a 17 because of the +2 bonus.
For casters, especially dedicated ones like Wizards and Sorcerers, end-game gear revolves around making sure the level 6 spells have as high of a difficulty check as possible. Offense-wise, the staff or wand they use are much less important than their ability to use what spells they have effectively.
