Ubisoft continues to expand on and updateAssassin’s Creed Valhalla, and its latest patch rolls out across all platforms today, bringing with it tons of free content. On top of the recently releasedDawn of RagnarokDLC, which extendsValhalla’s world significantly, update 1.5.1 will also giveAssassin’s Creedplayers more to explore with a new Mastery Challenge and more.
Confirmed by Ubisoft yesterday on its Twitter account, update 1.5.1 has been added toAssassin’s Creed Valhalla, and it brings multiple things to the live service RPG. Beyond several game improvements that optimize theAssassin’s Creed Valhallaexperience, the update includes Mastery Challenge Pack 2, the annual Ostara Festival, and more. The free update continues Ubisoft’s dedication to supportingAssassin’s Creed Valhallato fill the gap between now and the release of the anticipatedAssassin’s Creed Infinityand the rumoredAssassin’s Creed Rift.

Assassin’s Creed Valhallaplayers that launch the game today may expect a somewhat lengthy download depending on the platform of their choice, with Xbox Series X/S requiring 9GB, Xbox One 8.2GB, PlayStation 5 2.92GB, PlayStation 4 1.41GB, and PC 12.33GB of storage space. The speed at which the update is downloaded is largely dependent on internet speed.Assassin’s Creed Valhallaplayers will be immediately able to participate in the Ostara Festival at Ravensthorpe, but the Mastery Challenge Pack 2 requires they complete the “Uninvited Guests” main quest and should be at least Power Level 221.
Mastery Challenge Pack 2 follows theinitial Mastery pack, which was released last year, and like the original, the second pack offers new loot such as the Valkyrie Armor set, tattoos, other cosmetics, and weapons. To acquire these goodies,Assassin’s Creed Valhallaplayers will have to conquer three difficult Shrines that put their skills to the test and defeat one boss, which Ubisoft has created for the free update. In addition to these unlockable Mastery Challenge Pack 2 items,Valhallafans will also acquire free stuff from the Ostara Festival which begins on April 21 and runs until May 12.
Events, expansions, and mastery challenges aren’t the only things Ubisoft has added toAssassin’s Creed Valhallasince it was released, as updates have introduced new skills, River Raids, Transmogs, and a crossover story withAssassin’s Creed Odyssey. These changes have expanded on the content offerings ofAssassin’s Creed Valhallaand have given fans new ways to play the game and additional lore to discover. Other festivals thatAssassin’s Creed Valhallafans can expect to see again in future updates include the Yule Festival, Oskoreia Festival, and Sigrblot Festival, which each offer their own unique rewards for completing the seasonal content.
