The leaker who first revealed the title forAssassin’s Creed Miragehas recently unveiled their identity after replying to a tweet on the wrong account. Leaks have been incredibly prevalent in gaming news as of late, with a huge amount of information dropping regardingGrand Theft Auto 6following a hacker gaining access to an early buildfrom Rockstar. Apart fromGTA’srecent titanic leak, plenty of other games have had information revealed about them before the developers or publishers are ready to show off anything.

Assassin’s Creedhas also suffered from some news being leaked recently. The title for the next game in the iconic franchise,Assassin’s Creed Miragewas unveiled just before Ubisoft had a chance to confirm it, alongside some promotional images for the game. As well, a lot of information about theUbisoft Forward presentation focused onAssassin’s Creedwas unveiled by the same leaker, formerly an anonymous person on the internet known as The Real Insider on Twitter.

Allen revealed himself to be The Real Insider when responding to a tweet aimed at the latter with his main account. This then led to some on the internet searching through Allen and The Real Insider’s Twitter, leading to the discovery that they would both tweet about similar games at the same time. For example, both Dan Allen’s Twitter and The Real Insider critiqued the launch of theSaints Rowreboot. Finally, this resulted in Allen posting an apology to Twitter, which has since been deleted, where he claimed to be taking some time to reflect on his “poor decisions.” The post below is the screenshot Allen put up on his account.

Currently, there hasn’t been a response from Ubisoft, but it is possible that there could be some serious ramifications for Allen following the discovery that he leaked information onAssassin’s Creed Mirageand some of the content shown at Ubisoft Forward. It seems that Ubisoft hasn’t been too deterred by these leaks, as it has still managed to give fans some surprising and interesting information about the future ofAssassin’s Creed, including howAssassin’s Creed Infinitywill function.
