AnApex Legendsplayer posted a video of them pulling off a crazy triple kill with their P2020 pistol. InApex Legends, the P2020 is a sidearm with only 14 rounds in a magazine, which makes this triple kill even more impressive.
Apex Legendshas a variety of different weaponsavailable to loot in the battle royale mode, although each season a few weapons will be removed fromApex Legends' ground loot pool and locked into the care package loot pool, which is much more difficult to access. The P2020, however, is typically relegated to a sidearm role for most players, so it has always remained in the main loot pool, making it available for any players to find and use. Naturally, the gun’s damage and base magazine size are fairly low, but skilled players can still use the pistol to deadly effect.

Apex Legendsplayer Eluscus posted the video of their triple kill to the game’s official subreddit. It starts with them sprinting down a walkway into a building where the rest of their squad is engaged in a close-quarters firefight. Eluscus slides into the room and quickly takes down the first enemy, then takes a few shots from behind. They spin to find another enemy in the corner of the room, low on health. With a few quick shots, Eluscus takes down the second enemy. They fall onto the lower level of the room, then jump back up and engage the final enemy. After exchanging some gunfire, the enemy player breaks and runs, but Eluscus pursues and manages to kill them with the P2020, gaining the title of Kill Leader. While not quite as jaw-dropping as someApex Legendstriple kills with the Kraber sniper rifle, it’s still an achievement.
While it’s not exactly uncommon for players to score a triple kill with the help of their squad, doing so with a P2020 pistol is significantly rarer. Some players in the video’s comments, however, disparaged Eluscus’s accomplishment, saying that it was less impressive due to the low health of some of the enemies. The P2020 is not one of theweapons inApex Legendswith the fastest TTK, or time to kill, so even though the enemy squad was already damaged, managing to finish all three off with just a pistol is still quite impressive.
As with any online multiplayer game, and especially battle royale games,Apex Legendscan be difficult to balancefor the developers. Players will inevitably complain about weapons or legends that they get killed by, especially if it seems to be overpowered or unfair. Given that the P2020 has only received minimal changes across the history of the game, though, it does seem like theApex Legendsteam has hit the mark with this weapon in particular.
