Apex Legendsfans have recently discovered anAssassin’s CreedEaster egg in the game’s updated Firing Range. The discovery comes shortly after Respawn launched Season 17 ofApex Legendswhich added a number of changes including an updated World’s Edge map and Firing Range. WhileApex Legendsis no stranger to Easter eggs, the obvious nod to a hit franchise likeAssassin’s Creedis bound to intrigue many gamers.

Like many other games, Respawn has often looked to incorporate Easter eggs in many forms intoApex Legendsover the years following its release. Of course, this take many forms ranging from aNessie Easter egg in the Broken Moon map, to subtle mentions of other popular titles likeOverwatchandTitanfall2. Now with Season 17, Nessie made another appearance in the form of plushies inside the Firing Range. Though, it turns out the developers had more in store for fans to discover.

First discovered by Twitter user evefps, players have found that the new Firing Range has an interesting nod to the synchronization mechanic in theAssassin’s Creed franchise.Upontriggering third-person inApex LegendsFiring Range, players would need to go up the hill towards the northeast of the map with the red flagpole at the peak. Once the player sits on top of the flagpole and waits for a few seconds, it will automatically prompt a synchronization movement that emulates the same motion fromAssassin’s Creed. This Easter egg was confirmed byApex LegendsCommunity Manager Karen Lee and later by one of the developers Ian Holstead, who appears to have been responsible for the addition.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time anAssassin’s Creedmention was made inside Respawn’s live-service title. Back during Season 10,Seer’s introduction came with anAssassin’s Creedreferencewhere one of his poses was titled “Leap of Faith.” Here, the pose shows Seer leaping with his hands behind his back, akin to the moments before anAssassin’s Creedplayer would jump via a Leap of Faith.

But Easter eggs are only part of the many tweaksApex Legendsdevelopers made with Season 17. Theintroduction of Ballistic toApex Legendsis turning out to be an interesting addition to the game. Respawn is also looking to make improvements to its Ranked matches and cheat detection system over the next few months. In any case, it will be interesting to see how the new season pans out forApex Legendsand if the developers have hidden more Easter eggs in the game.

Apex Legendsis currently available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
